Something I've been working on with and for the same friend.. We made it with about half of the work each, minus the upper arms / rerebraces which I made not long after the first set of steel vambraces (he has also since modified by forming the splints to his arm). It's made of roughly 22 gauge stainless steel, this time from an old PC case. My apologies on the sharp reflection on the elbow, it was the best photo we could get with the time. Again, this is not based off any particular historical piece of armour, and the vambrace follows the same template as in my splint vambraces. They were made for speed, hence they are held on with cotton string and paracord as opposed to buckles.
