-in scrapbook because of newer version with fancy colors-[link]
-Edit- V2! Read below!-
Dont expect too much yet, its far from finished :3
But because of notes I got from curious people, I decided to upload a little sneakpeak into the latest designs for the characters from Path of Evolution.
All instructions are in the Flash,
Soon the colors will be changable as well.
Ill just update this as it goes on~
Also, most creatures dont have names yet.
So feel free to give suggestions for these names
Saves me some work, so to say ;3

Version 2!
I've put in some extra evolution information to make clear how it branches.
Also, I've included the Plantlike Branch!
Names are still needed, even names for the 5 branches.
I'm thinking along the lines of:
*Humanoid = Biped
*Mechanical = Mecha
*Plantlike = Floric
*Dragonoid = Scale
*Beastlike = Feral
But I'm not sure. Post your thoughts!

So there's no aquatic animals there.....
Anyway,
I'm thinking
*Humanoid = As Biped means animals who walk on 2 legs, it doesn't really meant to look like human...so I am gonna stick with the word Humanoid.
*Mechanical = Mecha (I'm thinking Mecha being best given type name for machines)
*Plantlike = Floric. I really have no comment. I don't really have any idea at all. Vegita ? (Vegitated) XD It's OVER 9000!!!
*Dragonoid = Scale, I personally find it sounds fishy. I suggest something-else...Claws and Jaws? Just Draco then.
*Beastlike = Feral. Pretty good word, but if all of them are furry, how about furries?

Whaha, theyre not all furries xD
Also, aqua animals are coming as well :3
I tend to prefer Biped over Humanoid because of 2 things,
1; its shorter and 2; they arent supposed to be fully human creatures, but more like something that reminds you of humans.
(And maybe point 3, humanoids are more "furries" then Ferals)

Okay. Not really understand humanoid being furries except ape....Just a friendly reminder, birds walks on 2 legs.therefore they are Biped as well. So is it a bird creature fall on that category as well? :/

Hmm, birds would be considered Beasts, since they are "animals".
a Biped imho would be something walking on 2 legs, standing upright, using at least 2 other limbs for arms.
aka, a human like creature.

Yea...and now I really get it. It doesn't matter what creature humanoid became of, as long as the path of this kind of evolution is bipedal. All Bipeds can be anything, plants, beast, etc. as long as they walk on 2 legs and stand upright. I kinda stuck sometimes.

Totally awesome so far. Simple to understand conceptually and visually. Shows really great promise and I'm tickled to see much much more. Names happens to be my specialty so I'll just let you know the very first ones that my mind thought of immediately after seeing each model:
*Note: the names follow a linguistic evolution pattern to match the Path of Evolution character growth scheme. Also, it seemed to me that the characters all branch out of 1a (see below) and into the rest of the evolutions like an RPG class change fork (guess based on the common trait of a similar marking on the belly from stage 1 to stage 2 evolutionary growth). But I could be wrong and horribly over-reading this.
1a. Nimnim (or Nim-Nim)
1b. Nimbol
1c. Nimitz
2a. Orobo
2b. Orobitz
3a. Gengi
3b. Gengaia
4a. Unisaur
4b. Unisauritz
5a. Clofith
5b. Clotenth
Hope some of that will be helpful to you at all.

-nods nods-
Indeed they fork out in such an evolution pattern x3
"1a" is the 'starter', evolving into "1b", "2a", "3a", "4a" and "5a"
Maybe I should add codenames for easy reference of the characters.
But, in Path of Evolution there are 5 types of creatures,
Humanoids, Beasts, Dragonoids, Plants and Mechanicals.
(In any random order)
So, each creature has the potential to grow into one of these types.
On another note, thanks for the naming suggestion :3
However, what do they mean?
Empty names are empty, names with some reference are always more exciting to use~

I typed out a huge reply and it got deleted because my browser and this temporary computer are pieces of junk, so I'll just write out the name meanings again. -.-;
Nimnim ("first one", "seedling", "small life", "pure")
Nimbol (variation on nimble, also "thinking one", "walking thinker")
Nimitz ("first titan", "pure titan")
Orobo ("electric person", "innovator")
Orobitz ("electric titan", "electricity titan")
Gengi ("from the earth", "child of the soil", "sapling creature")
Gengaia (from "gaia", e.g. Greek Goddess of the Earth, "from Gaia", "earth titan", "great one of the earth")
Unisaur ("one-horned dragon whelp")
Unisauritz ("one-horned elder dragon", "horned Dragon titan")
Clofifth ("wild", "hungry" + "prowler")
Clotenth ("Feral Titan", "wild & hungry" + "predator", "hunter")
Maybe that puts it in perspective a bit.

I also took Japanese in high school. I went to a private prep school though, not a public school. Other languages they offered were French, Spanish, German, Chinese, Greek and Russian.
