Meh, I'm disappointed it doesn't seem to work for Windows 7...

Windows 7 by default doesn't have this functionality activated, however it IS in the code. You can find more info on how to activate it at the site of =Vishal-Gupta : [link]
By the way, this isn't spam. Just a fellow deviant helping out.

there's a way, but it is NOT easy and it's definitely a resource hog.

Alright, this is gonna require some serious Adobe tools, including Flash Encoder and Dreamweaver, and it's more a hack than anything else.
Step 1.
Use Flash Media Encoder to turn the Bokeh into an FLV file. This'll take a while.
Step 2.
Once it's done, go to your C: drive and create a new directory. Whatever you call it, just remember what it's called. I recommend calling it Bokeh.
Step 3.
Move the FLV to it. Make sure the name is 1 word and has no spaces, just to avoid "%20" issues down the road. If it were me, I'd name it bokeh.flv.
Step 4.
Open Dreamweaver, and create a new project. Set the project directory as C:\Bokeh\, or whatever you named the directory. Because it's so close to the root of the drive, no user will have issues accessing it, which is important because sometimes Active Desktop uses a different account than yours to access files.
Step 5.
Create an HTML file. Click "Page Properties" and make the background black. This will be less of a visual assault on login. After all, white is a very bright color .
Step 6.
Drag and drop the Bokeh.flv file from the file pane into the canvas. This will show a wizard which asks what type of player you want and other settings. Make sure the controller bar is either hidden permanently or only shows on hover, based on your preference. When it asks for the size of the player, put your screen dimensions, and make sure the video is set to fill.
Step 7.
Hit save, and type bokeh.html. Dreamweaver will prompt you to save a few files. Most likely an SWF and a JS file. Both of these are required. Close Dreamweaver.
Step 8.
Enable Active Desktop. Active Desktop will remove your background, and will show a "website" instead of a wallpaper. Basically, its a Internet Explorer window without any toolbars. It only shows the content. Set the website address as C:\Bokeh\bokeh.html.
Understand that this is Internet Explorer in the backend doing all this, so the site will render like IE. I wish there were a better way to do it, but I don't know of any at the moment. This can only be done in 95, 98, 2000 and XP. Again, this will not chew resources. It will absolutely gobble them up because Flash is huge, and so is this dreamscene. Also, I am telling you all this off memory because I have not used XP since Vista came out. I am on Windows 7 now, and I don't use DreamScene anyhow because Adobe takes all 8 GB of my ram, and 3 and 1/2 of my 4 processor cores. Other than that, I hope this helps.

It looks very nice. One remark though: maybe it would be better to make the amination a bit slower... I sometimes get a bit nervous when I look at my desktop.

Amazing, only thing that could make it better is if it were a little slower, other than that, it's perfect, thank you.
