Golden rules of beauty...? I wanna know more about that!

Mardocks In reply to whitecath [2016-07-23 07:10:25 +0000 UTC]
Sorry I'm not very good in English, the golden rules of beauty or also called the golden ratio would measure beauty in function of perfect proportion. Leonard de Vinci used it to "the man of Vetruve". If the number is close to 10, the face is Beautiful, you can measure by different factors. Example: the nose must be of the size of the ears.
I think you already know the golden ratio but I'm probably hurting expressed in my previous comment. I'm sorry again. I hope you'll have a good day ! ^^

What tools did you use to paint it?
π: 0 β©: 1
FilipJKD In reply to Toruar [2016-07-22 19:50:31 +0000 UTC]
I painted in Photoshop CC, and I used soft brush mostly and some skin brushes on some parts, and some rough and semi-soft brushes for sketching.

Toruar In reply to FilipJKD [2016-07-22 19:58:20 +0000 UTC]
Yes. Thats it..
Nice technique
For now all my artworks are vector based.
But I want to start to create paintings by photoshop too.
Do you use wacom?
π: 0 β©: 1
FilipJKD In reply to Toruar [2016-07-22 20:05:06 +0000 UTC]
Yes I use a Wacom Cintiq 13HD but Intuos tablets are just as good and cheaper. Try photoshop maybe you will like it, I personally feel like I have more freedom working in photoshop than a vector based software, so try it

FilipJKD In reply to Toruar [2016-07-22 20:31:12 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but I struggle too much to get the anatomy right, and they want quick concepts, I still don't feel ready to make concepts constantly and even if I do I wouldn't want to be unsatisfied with my results, and the most important thing for me is to have fun while I'm drawing. So Ill just have fun with it and Ill see what happens Β
