Description
This is Saudi El Perseus (brazil) standing at stud at [link] at this show he recieved champion intermediate Arabian purebred colt and went on to win supreme purebred stallion.As I have included the stallions information - please refrain from any rude or thoughtless comments, as both the stallions owner, breeders and trainer will be able to see your comments. Please use the common rule of if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything! Thank you in advance!!

Goodness gracious, I am not normally a major fan of Arabians, but this stallion is a stunning creature. His pose and presence are just flowing through this image. His coloration is amazing as well. The expression on his face just screams that he is well aware of what he is and he knows it well. Amazing photography here dear!

I don't know much about horses at all, But even I can see why this horse won. His pose, his beauty.. Is it rare to win both purebred colt and supreme purebred stallion?? I would think getting supreme would be hard, especially for a colt. Because Β an older Stallion would be used to competing more and easier to manage. I would think a colt would have more misplaced energy lol.... Anyway, this is a horse that will probably go really far in the show ring. Already doing so well at a young age. He is perfect and he knows it lol... which is the attitude you would want in a show horse. And I love his color, his fur looks like crushed velvet.Β

He is an absolutely stunning stallion. From Memory he is a 3 year old in this image, I am not really knowledgeable myself to know if it is common place or not, But usually a horse that is more filled out would take supreme stallion I would think. Right after this image was taken he decided he didn't like the other stallion that was in the ring with him and showed off with a Roar and a rear. So Easier to manage might not come into it for Arabian Horses.
He is an amazing stallion but sadly I haven't seen him shown locally since, Although I do follow his breeders on Facebook and recently they uploaded a new picture of him, he has almost completely greyed out now - But still looks Stunning. His offspring are starting to enter the halter rings now and are going quite well for themselves.

Wow, he is absolutely stunning! No wonder he won supreme purebred stallion. It'll be interesting to see photos of him as he continues to mature. Methinks I'll have to use him as a reference for some of my art in future, and I don't tend to use references terribly often these days. Gorgeous!

I was so in love with this boy, He just had so much presence. Sadly as I donβt know his owners or trainers all I can hope is that he will be at these shows in Queensland again. I sadly missed out on the Sydney Arabian Show, at the start of Feb as well as the NZ North Island Arabian Show. So all my hopes are pinned on the Gala and challenge shows for Queensland. Iβm glad you like my stock

The presence really comes across in the photos, so I know it would be so much better in person!
I've got the royal show here in SA, although since I know the stud at least is QLD-based, I doubt they'd travel this far. Fingers crossed you find him again for your photos. It'd be lovely to see more of him!
I wonder what I'll see at the show this weekend down here - I've seen some nice stock in the past, but nothing like the sorts of numbers you get on the east coast

Im not too certain if he is QLD based. Only because the show brings breeders from across Australia (Mostly NSW and VIC). Its 2 weekends with 2 Arabian Shows. Also All I have been able to find out about his whereabouts is where he was purchased from [link] I know of a stud that I think bred a foal from him last year and then the trail goes cold.
I swear there was a big arab show in SA... IF you have facebook go Like [link] They tell me where all the arabian shows are around the country.
Im sure youll see some nice stock. I alwasy thought all the nice arabians were in Victoria Ive certainly been proven wrong! Hopefully you get som awesome shots! cant wait to see them!

I know that where he's standing at stud is somewhere north of Beaudesert, so I'd hope he was based there. Hmm.
There are a few decent Arabian shows here in SA. I've been to the SA Arabs main event before and got some nice shots, and I've been to the show as well. Alas, the only SA show I know of with lots of Arabians coming up is next weekend, the show. I was overseas for the Main Event A Class this year, and busy for the SA Arabs championships too. Joys of being a generally busy person. Oh well! The show should be good, same day also has the Andalusians and Friesian Warmbloods. Pity the Clydesdales are the day before, but still!
SA does have some nice Arabians, for example I have seen Simeon Sirach and thought he had real presence - he's the very very grey stallion I've got as stock. And there have been others that I've really liked too. But I don't think we get the same numbers competing over here - less population, so less people to show

I have Multiple Pictures of this horse. All will have a handler in it but most wont have the handler in the way like this one. Although I dont have this exact post without the handler

These horses look so fair and delicate. It's wonderful.
The only thing I don't like about the Arabian is that hot temper many seem to feel the need to breed into their horses.

The Hot temper is a trait of the breed. And for showing halter the judges prefer if there is a little fire in their eyes - or at least they do here in New Zealand and Australia.

Arabians started as extremely loyal and calm horses. They would sleep in their masters tents in the desert and such things like that.
The temper was bred in because people think it's pretty and exactly as you said, for show.
Granted, a lot of breeds are this way. Something is bred into them for show. I don't hold it against the horse, more the people. I just think it's a bit of a shame is all.

Wow when I first saw this, I almost thought that the colt had been photoshopped! Absolutely gorgeous! Dapple grey horses are my absolute favorite!
