well i think its a good shot, if it wud have been higher it wud have been the regular typical shot. but cos of its limitations in terms of levity, its a unique shot with a character of its own. the problem with us humans is that we expect everything and dont let nature offer its natural gifts, same applies here.

Images of people "in their natural habitats," if you will, that is, images that don't feel posed, have always facinated me. They allow character to come through, which always makes a portrait more interesting. My only critique here in on the angle ... if you were up a little higher (though that may have been impossible) it would have made for a better shot, and, I think, prevented her legs from blending into the banister. I love the grayscale in this picture (honestly, it just gives it more of an artsy feel), and it's good to see some absolute whites and blacks in the photograph--too many grayscale pictures come off as rather faded because, well, they're too gray.
