Aaron opened an eye, jumping to his paws he glanced about the den, he glanced at his mother Mina for a moment, who was sleeping with Damion. His eyes narrowed slightly when he noticed something off. Where is Madelyn? He wondered, his eyes growing wide. His fur fluffed up as he scampered out of the den without a moments hesitation. "Madelyn!!" He whined, pouting slightly.
How come his sister hadn't woken him up to play with her if she was awake herself? This puzzled the growing kit's mind very much. "Where did you go?" He mewed to himself, plopping down against the ground with a soft thud.

Snickering to herself, Madelyn slowly began to prowl from behind her hiding spot; a thick, shrubby bush heavy with leaves. She knew Aaron would probably wake up soon, and although she loved her brother dearly, teasing him was just too fun sometimes. When he padded out of the den to look around for her, the gray-striped kit readied herself to pounce, seeing her perfect chance to catch him off guard with a surprise playfight.
"Graah!" She growled playfully, launching herself out of the shadows and onto her brother's back. She grabbed his scruff with gentle, but firm teeth, yanking him so that both of them fell over onto their sides. Madelyn rolled onto her back, unable to hold back her laughter, grinning mischievously at Aaron. "Gotcha!"

Aaron let out a surprised yelp, his eyes growing wide as the moon. Realizing it was his littermate, he let out a few fits of laughter. "Hehe~ You sure did Madelyn!" He mewed, sitting up, his puffed up tail swished back and forth excitedly. "I was worried you left me alone for a moment!" He mewed, his ears perked up slightly and he tilted his head. "So, where were you hiding?" He asked curiously.

Taking a quick glance over her shoulder, Madelyn made sure both her brothers and her mother hadn't noticed her disappearance. It was very late at night, and Mina had told her and her littermates to never ever leave their nest once it got dark out, but the dark tabby kit wanted to explore. You couldn't just live life in fear of the shadows! Madelyn needed to know what was out there in order to protect her mother, after all. She promised her she would, always. So the loner kit padded under the arching branches of the bushes above her, her brown eyes wide as they took in the light of the moon hanging over her head. A strange scent wafted into her nostrils, making her scrunch up her nose, but she didn't feel fear. Instead, she just felt curiosity. Who else is out here? She wondered.

Demon growled under his breath. His tabby pelt blended him in perfectly in the darkness, and he could easily spot the grey kit from afar. His oak-red eyes glistened as the idea of another she-cat filled his mind, one to replace his love for the now-clan cat Skystream.
He pawed in the dew-soaked ground, emitting a purr to get the kit's attention. The moon shined on his dark brown pelt, making it a silver brown. "Hello there..." He mewed at the figure.

Madelyn wasn't scared, not in the least. Even if this tom was a complete stranger to her, she knew that showing fear to him would lead to nothing but trouble, and she wasn't going to back down to him. Or to anyone, for that matter. She took a quick sniff of his scent, and nearly curled her lip at how sinister it was. It didn't look like he had been in any fights recently, but the faint odor of dried blood still hit the roof of her mouth. "Hello..." She returned warily, on guard in case he tried to attack her. She also knew that fighting him would be impossible, so she was prepared to flea if he attempted to. "I've never seen you around here before... Who are you?"

"Demon..." He mewed, smiling a fangy grin. "I'm a rouge, like you. Enough about me, what's your name?" The moon showed several scars.

This tom's no joke... Madelyn drew her attention away from his scars and faced him once again. "...Madelyn. My name is Madelyn." She told him after a moment of thought. "I don't mean to pry, but why are you hanging around here? You know that those Clan cats live in this area, right?" She sniffed. "You could get caught, and then you could get in a lot of trouble. My m - Someone told me to stay away from them at all costs when I'm by myself."
