Description
finally finished the brightcrest keyblade! it's made of wood with a resin wayfinder and gems above the handle. the paint is acrylic with a coating of krylon diamond dust glitter blast, which is really cool. it's basically a clear spray infused with glitter. finally, a clear automotive gloss covers the whole keyblade.commission for i really enjoyed making this one.
keyblades and kingdom hearts belong to disney and square enix

I'm planning on doing an aqua cosplay, and I found this awesome looking outfit that just needs the wig, boots and keyblade, I contacted the supplier about it and they said they had the boods and wig, but for the keyblade they need a measurement and images, would it be alright if I sent them this photo and would you be able to tell me the size dimensions of the blade?

Sure. It's 42" and they should be able to use the picture and other images of the brightcrest to make it proportional width-wise and such. There's also this spray paint called diamond dust that makes it glittery. I used it for mine and it works great!

I believe i charged $300 for it last time. If you want a plastic or foam one, i could make it for $400. Wood does seem like a nice texture, but plastic or foam would be more durable.

hmmm well does the wood stay together? I wont be using it to knock people down and if anything it will be wrapped up when I am not using it xD I just want something that can take a couple of bumps but look like how the wood looks ;o; so pretty....would the plastic look about the same?

Oh yeah it'll definitely stay together. The plastic would look the same, but feel a bit different. I havent cast anything yet so i'll have to get back to you after i cast my first kingdom key, but from the samples i got from smooth-on.com i can tell it will be strong and light.

Do you cave these whole things out of wood?! That looks great. Carving is hard too.
