Khamryn [link]This photo is from a set taken a few months ago. I loved what Khamryn chose for his wardrobe as it was very dark and moody, but edgy as well. I got the idea to have him wear angel wings to offset the black tones. Behind him is a studio soft light that I intentionally left in the frame as I felt it would further help to offset the darkness in the shot, and put emphasis on the colors in his hair and face.
The emotion I was aiming for was one of regret as if he was ashamed of what his angelic duty had him commit just a moment ago.
I really like this shot.

Great shot: both on the part of the you and Khamryn. He did a great job with showing depth of emotion without going over the top emo. Very subltely done. You did a great job with composition of the shot that emphasized the emotional feel, also without going over the top emo. Leaving the softbox in worked really well, too.

Okay, potential context of "or bust" (after a bit of research online):
The phrase originated when people were treking out to California (I believe it was either the dust bowl/Great Depression or during stagecoach times). "Bust" can mean physically bursting/being destroyed, so it could reference a physical breakdown of the carriage/coach/car on the way to Cali or that the people themselves are trying so hard, they are "busted." So, "We'll make it to California or break ourselves/vehicle on the way"
Alternately, "bust" also has monetary connotations both in normal finances/bankruptcy and in gambling (to "bust" during blackjack) and if the phrase originated during the Great Depression, people were taking the last little bit of money they had with the hope that, if they made it to California, their fortunes would turn around, so: "Either we make it to Cali and live the good life or we go bankrupt and starve to death" which is too long and not nearly catchy enough to paint on your car/wagon. ^_~
Also, it could mean a combination of the above, and some other things I haven't considered.
