Once upon a time, Haimi was fun-loving and loud. As a pup, she longed for adventure and excitement!

Now, however, she isn’t nearly as enthusiastic.

Haimi is a quiet wolf. She does not enjoy pointless endeavours and rarely leaves her den without a solid reason. All of this, as well as her sheltered upbringing, has led to her having very few friends to speak of. She doesn’t mind ー friends would get in the way.

Haimi tends to have a single-minded focus on whatever tasks are at hand. Be it searching for her mother, seeing to her duties, hunting, or simply wandering through Taika, she tends to have tunnel-vision for her desired destination.

Always one to voice her opinions, Haimi can seem harsh at times. Still, she is rather kind and doesn’t mean to offend, so she becomes incredibly apologetic if made aware that she has hurt someone's feelings. She would always rather talk about misunderstandings than leave them to fester; she feels that she cannot afford to lose the few friends that she has. Haimi strives to become better at communication so she can avoid these situations.

She is loyal to a fault as well. She would lay down her life for the people she cares about, no questions asked. However, her loyalty has been known to make her naive ー without solid proof, she is resistant to hard truths and will create a version of events that is not in line with reality.

Haimi has learned to take care of herself and is willing to ignore anyone who does not have the same opinions as she does. She may come off as spoiled, at times, though the truth is that she is still grieving the loss of her mother and has not found a way to properly cope or carry on.

All in all, Haimi is a lost soul… Though she is not well-versed in companionship, she is willing to try. After all, what has she got to lose?

History:

Haimi was born to a loving mother named Gitana; overprotective, perhaps, but loving nevertheless. She chose to live in Taika for the very specific reason of providing her only daughter with an easy life. A safe life. Though Haimi was born mere months after the fracture of the Tundes, Gitana was certain Taika would offer Haimi the best life.

Unfortunately, she didn’t account for Haimi being a particularly adventurous pup.

The young girl was always running off to get herself into trouble. She was just so curious about the world around her! Her mother often lost track of Haimi’s whereabouts as she ran about. Still, Gitana did her best to keep Haimi far away from the scary happenings of the island and the drama surrounding the various packs.

Haimi remembers once while eavesdropping on the adults, she heard whispers of mysterious stone circles that were appearing. Everyone seemed to be nervous ー she wondered why. They were just stones, right? Still, she was curious and longed to explore!

But she was caught by her mother before she got very far at all… The scolding she had received was long and boring, Haimi swore that she hated her mothers’ overprotectiveness. How dare her mother hide her away from a life filled with adventure and discovery?! It caused a rift in their relationship that continued to grow and grow.

Then disaster struck…

The flood hit just a few months shy of Haimi’s first birthday. She had been out on a walk to distract herself from yet another fight with Gitana when other wolves ran past, shouting with fear and encouraging her to follow them. The gravity of the situation became apparent fast and Haimi ran as fast as her legs would take her. As terrified as she had been, she barely remembers the journey.

Like many others, Haimi took shelter in Skydas. Once there, she no longer cared about adventuring or exploring ー she only wished to find her mother, who hadn’t been seen since before the rise of the wave. She searched and searched, and asked anyone who would listen, but Gitana seemed to have disappeared.

By the time Taika was safe to return to, many insisted that Gitana must have never made it out of Taika. She was thought to have died in the flood.

Haimi refused to believe it. Surely her mother, a wolf so careful and smart, couldn’t have been left behind… She searched Taika all by herself, certain she would find her mother if she simply looked hard enough…

As her second birthday approached, however, Haimi knew that life had to go on. She still wasn’t convinced that her mother had died but she knew that she had to do something ー anything ー besides continuing to search. She refused to leave Taika in hopes that her mother would return but she stopped looking. Instead, she decided to start building her own life.

Though her blunt nature holds strongly, she finds many wolves in Taika are willing to entertain her company. Namely, a wolf named Jorel who seems insistent on her having a safe den (how annoying) and his spit-fire son Vanille, who Haimi becomes incredibly protective of. She loves them both deeply, even if she won't admit it aloud...

She intended to stay in Taika forever when she thought her mother had perished, but everything changed when rumors flew with suggestions of Gitana living in Stonehaven. Desperate to see her mother again, Haimi joined the Stonehaven ranks.

Who knows what the future holds…
