Alright! Finally today is the day!!!! I am a little excited and nervous! Today my big Resident Evil / Nivanfield fan-fiction project starts!!!

This project is in honor of these great characters who have captured my heart in a special way and will forever be anchored in my heart... these characters are Resident Evil for me. For many, the horror aspect is what defines RE, but for me it's primarily the characters. So this story is for you guys - Chris Redfield, Piers Nivans, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, Ada Wong, Rebecca Chambers, Claire Redfield, Sheva Alomar, Sherry Birkin, Jake Muller and Helena Harper!!! (And to be honest Albert Wesker, but he wont be a part of this trilogy) The real heroes and legends of RE...

I absolutely disagree with the canon of RE7/8 and see a lot of wasted potential and an unworthy approach to the original cast, which still has so much to offer. That's why I decided to implement my vision in a fan-fiction project - also for my own peace of mind and to give these amazing characters the storyline or a joint worthy final that they deserve and that they should have received after RE6. I take up the cornerstone that RE6 laid. BUT it's not just about all of these characters, Nivanfield is also in focus. So I'm pursuing two goals: on the one hand, Nivanfield and at the same time, to weave all these great characters into one big, epic whole.

The fan-fiction project will be a trilogy and since I think it's about RE's real heroes, I'll call the entire trilogy: Nivanfield - Resident Evil: The True Heroes and Legends-Trilogy! To celebrate the start of the trilogy, as well as just because I thought it was cool, I created this promo wallpaper (and yes, there are three OC characters featured as well, portrayed by other well-known gaming characters but I dont want to spoil much about these OC-Characters ) But it feel great to see all these awesome characters in one picture, isn't it?

In any case, a lot of passion, effort and work went into writing this fan-fiction project. I know or think this project is unlikely to get a lot of attention and will most likely become my "unpopular" fan-fiction project ever, but in honor of these characters, it is worth the risk to me. So I would be extremely happy about any little support, no matter how small.

Of course, the project starts with Volume 1 and a new chapter is published every week. You can find the fan-fiction / Volume 1 under the title: Being a Hero isn't easy || A Nivanfield Story [Resident Evil] on my Wattpad account or under the hashtag: #REthetrueheroesandlegendtrilogy (I will also use the hashtag on Deviant for pictures like this Promo Wallpaper here). The trilogy will be based around RE6 and will be an alternative canon line / fanon line that will NOT be linked to RE7. Volume 1 will initially be a prequel to RE6 and focus on the history of Chris and Piers as well as Redfield's own alpha team and tie in with the events of RE6. Volume 2 and Volume 3 then represent the sequel to RE6. I will not ignore any open plot lines after RE6 like Capcom does. So I'm going to continue the stories of all these characters! So be curious about how I put all these characters into a trilogy, but it will definitely be extremely emotional and heroic!
