I was always under the impression that all women hate us to a certain extent.
(Disclaimer: this is a joke.)

This whole stereotype is what inspired me to try and create my own characters who subverted this whole thing. So yeah, this one is great! I honestly don't understand where this stereotype came from, though. Oh, I think I figured it out--stupidity.
But the only thing I hate about this comic are the obvious Ohio State logos (I hate the buckeyes).

I alwais tought that lesbians hated men, because we are assholes( including me) and the only reason that women tolerate us is because they are attracted to us. So i came to the conclusion that if women were not attracted to us then they would hate us ._.

I live in a neighborhood with a large lesbian population, was president of a student group back in college where something like 30% of the members were lesbians, and managed a bookstore that had several regular customers who were lesbians. Not one of those ladies ever said or did anything to make me believe that they hated men. I can't imagine that my experience is atypical, so I'm perplexed as to where stereotypes like this come from.

I was confused, too, especially since when we polled initially this is one of the most frequent questions we received. I can't say I've ever hated one group of people in my life (just babies, but those are people-in-training, who knows about them past the drooling stage). Unfortunately, since posting this we've gotten a lot of messages from people claiming to be lesbians that do hate men and are upset with the lesson. But, then again, that's why none of it is worded in absolutes - just 'many', 'some', and words like 'opinion' and 'feelings'. I have to accept that there are some out there that hate people simply for the color of their skin, their religion or their XY chromosomal lottery drawing, but I don't want it to be a perpetuated stereotype when I truly believe that the majority of lesbians don't hate people just for their gender identity.

It's a shame that some people go through life with prejudices like that. I can't imagine hating an entire demographic of people based on something that they had no choice in (whether it's their race, sex, or whatever else). It can't be a very fulfilling way to live, as just stepping outside the front door would bring them into contact with the objects of their ire.
Men and women aren't really all that different, anyway. More's the pity.

Or, put simply, "lesbians don't hate men, they hate egotistical douche-bags, just like everyone else."

Isn't "feminism" = "the opinion, that men are just as valid as women, and vice versa"?

In theory, it should be, but it entirely depends on who you ask on the subject, and what rights the person in question is advocating.
Technically speaking, "Feminism" is listed as "organized activity on behalf of women's rights and interests."
And while someone may practice feminism, they may not be of the opinion that men are just as valid as women or vice versa. There are plenty of opinions and people in the world.

:'D Thank you! I have a lot of lesbian friends and whenever I tell my mother, she goes off and says that I am just a "pervert". (Why that is is still unclear, because me and my friends just talk about women, MLP, and femslash). It just really pisses me off how she can have all her homosexual male friends, but the minute her heterosexual son makes homosexual female friends, he is a pervert and she is just fun. Please keep doing these, because A) I can understand my friends better and 2) so I can finally prove to my mother that it is not perverted that I have lesbian friends.

Huh, so that's how you spell that.
Our class has basically been discussing this subject lately and I believe this is a nice bit of info overall.
