It's a common advertising ploy when people sell old cars.
"It ran just fine when it was parked here!" And then 30 years of dirt, rain, wind, snow, mice, cats, birds, chickens. Everything rots and locks up with rust. Even though it ran good in 1972, in 2012, you will need a whole lot of parts and time to get it back to running status again!
