This reminds me of those old Miller Lite ads where two people would be arguing over what to watch on TV and someone would slap a bottle of Miller Lite on the TV and say 'let's watch both!' and you'd end up with beauty pageant contestants playing hockey or dachshunds drag racing.
In this case I envision the conversation went a little like this...
"I want to build a monster truck!"
"I want to restore a classic VW!"
"Let's do both. If you can combine great taste and less filling, you can combine almost anything!"
Just because you can combine something doesn't mean you should.
