Height: 5’1”

Sexuality: Gay

Ethnicity: Japanese

Nationality: Japanese

Blood Type: A

Roommates:

Immediate Family:

Mother: Mitsuki Wakatsuki - Quirk: Soothing Sight - if she makes eye contact with someone, she can feel their negative energy and share it with them, calming them so long as they’re looking at her.

Father: Aito Wakatsuki - Quirk: Blank Out - his singing voice causes people to become drowsy and nod off. If he sings for long enough, they will fall asleep entirely and forget who he was.

Older Brother: Chomei Wakatsuki - Quirk: Misterious - when he whispers, thick white smoke comes out of his mouth that, if there’s enough of it, can completely conceal him from view - INJURED

Older Sister: Maiko Wakatsuki - Quirk: True Sight - if she makes eye contact with someone, they automatically are convinced of anything she’s saying being true. This wears off once she looks away - DECEASED

Hero Stats

Hero Name: Wallflower

Quirk: [Blind Eye]

Junpei’s quirk makes him literally fade into the background of scenes. So long as he’s not holding eye contact with someone and is quieter than everything else in his surroundings, their gaze will essentially skip over him, allowing him to be as close to invisible as is possible without actual invisibility. This is especially effective in areas with a lot of noisy people or things that grab attention, as they make it easy for him to meet the audibility requirement. This requirement applies, as said, to everything in his surroundings-- i.e. if there were someone very noisy and someone very quiet, he would have to match the quiet person or lose effect. He relies on being the most unobtrusive thing in an area at any given time, which can be troublesome if he's trying to Do Literally Anything Useful. His quirk also applies to any person or object he’s touching in the sense that other people won’t be able to notice the whole unit (as seen in limitations, it loses effectiveness completely on the person he’s touching) with the caveat that it proportionally loses effect the more people/larger the people he’s touching are. People he's in contact with must also abide by the volume limitation on Junpei's quirk.

He wears his hair covering his eyes to maximize the time his quirk is active, though sometimes he accidentally peeks through. This is remedied with his hero costume, which covers them entirely.

Limitations:

  • Junpei’s quirk immediately loses effect if he makes physical contact with someone, regardless of if he’s holding eye contact or not.
  • If Junpei speaks or makes any sort of verbal noise, his quirk instantly loses effect.
  • As mentioned above, though his quirk applies to people he touches, the effect lessens with the size/number of people he’s using it to hide.
  • If someone is actively seeking Junpei out, his quirk is not infallible— he isn’t actually invisible, after all, and though it may take a lot of focus, someone searching for him specifically would be able to overcome it. He has to make sure people aren’t aware of him to begin with, so they have no reason to look for him.
  • His quirk becomes less effective the less other things are in an area— for example, he would be much closer to actually invisible were he in a place with a lot of other people, rubble, buildings, etc. and in an open field would be much easier to spot.
  • Once someone has managed to notice Junpei (whether by him touching them, if he accidentally makes eye contact, or a scenario outlined in one of the earlier bullets) his quirk will become basically ineffective on this person until he can completely hide himself from their line of sight and “reset” it.

Primary Course Focus: Pro-Hero (esp. surveillance)

Personals

Personality: Junpei is a person who puts the utmost effort into making sure he looks like he doesn’t care about anything. Extremely unmotivated, he doesn’t really seem to have any definitive interests, nor does he seem particularly interested in other people or heroics. He’s best described as lazy and pessimistic, often tacking “it doesn’t matter” and “who cares” onto the end of everything he says like a text signature. Everything he does is simply viewed as a task to be completed and he doesn’t act ambitiously unless told to.

If he does talk to others, he’s a bit of a complainer, extremely sarcastic, and can come off as rude easily due to his tendency to bluntly say what he’s thinking even if it’s mean. He’s very difficult to make friends with, and even harder to get to open up. He has very little emotional capacity.

This is a manufactured persona by someone who’s terrified of having ambition and failing. Junpei is very much of the mind that if he has no expectations, he can never be disappointed, and so makes a point to never strive for anything in life. His utmost goal, he would tell you, is to be completely average… so then why is he attending a school for heroes? The truth is, Junpei deep down does want to be a hero and has held this goal since childhood. However, due to insecurity regarding his quirk and events from his past, he vehemently avoids it. Still, unable to escape his childhood dream, he’s here in the pro-hero course. Overall, Junpei is a person who would rather have people think “does he have any ambition?” rather than “he has too much ambition”.

History

Born to a definitively average family living in a fishing village in Japan, Junpei had a completely normal upbringing. He was much perkier as a kid and greatly looked up to his two older siblings— his brother envisioned being a pro hero, and his sister was considering going into law, if her quirk wouldn’t give her too much trouble. His father had already had a promising singing career in his younger years crushed by the development of his quirk, which was the first catalyst for Junpei’s change in attitude later in life.

The major catalyst, however, was his high school being attacked by a villain in freshman year. This was a surprising event, given the smallness of the town he lived in, and as a result no one was prepared. Barely anyone managed to escape without injuries— anyone, that is, except Junpei, whose quirk protected him entirely as he hid. His brother could have been safe as well, but due to his desire to be a hero, he tried to use his quirk to stop the villain and was severely injured, ending his dreams of heroism in the present. Junpei’s sister was killed as she used her quirk to draw attention to herself to save younger students.

Following this event, Junpei was severely depressed and viewed himself as having a coward’s quirk. He completely withdrew and underwent a severe personality change, now terrified of his previous ambition having seen the effect his family’s dreams had had on their happiness. However, Junpei’s brother was very encouraging, having been aware of his desire to be a hero in the past. He not-so-subtly would leave articles around about amazing heroes rescuing civilians and so on, which Junpei pointedly ignored as he began university applications.

However, the attack on Schuyler finally caught his attention. He saw an event similar to the one in the past, but where the students were able to fight back bravely and quietly submitted his application along with his ones to normal colleges. He didn’t expect to get in, but… here he is.

Extras

  • Junpei’s eyes are pale pink and have heavy bags. He needs sleep!
  • His hair is actually naturally blonde, but he’s dyed it this color.
  • Junpei is big into music, and has perfect pitch. For a while he entertained the dream of becoming a singer, until he heard about his father’s crushed career. Still, he likes to sing in his free time. (He likes Vocaloid………………)
  • Junpei held the thrilling job of working part-time at a grocery store all through high school.
  • He’s incredibly book-smart, and had he not attended Schuyler likely would have attended a top college in Japan. He intended to study chemistry and is extremely good at math.
  • Follow him on Twitter! His only foray into the public eye is a popular account where he takes candid pictures of animals he sees around town, though his name isn’t associated with it.
  • He had a different hero name in mind when he was little, but changed it to this kind of lame one when actually enrolling. He’ll never tell anyone what the original was!

(i just wanted to note that i heard about this group from a friend and made an account for it... and that's why my page is brand-new and has nothing on it )
