It looks like you drew it with pencils or crayons perfectly. Like how this picture looks. Something about it makes it stand out

Umbreon is my favorite #1 Pokemon, too!  Especially Shiny Umbreon!  Can't beat those rave ring markings!  ^^

You said it!  Umbreon is the spotlight in my universe!

Well, I have a male Shiny Umbreon in Omega Ruby, given to me by a close friend of mine when he was an Eevee.  I asked my friend a special request to shiny-hunt one for me through breeding using a few meathods that gives her a significantly increased chance of getting a Shiny Eevee.  I had her name my Eevee "Kagehikari" (Japanese for "Shadowlight")  The exchange was for a Hidden Ability (Drought) Vulpix, which I took forever searching for at the peak of Mt. Pyre.  But I won't ever be parting with Kagehikari as he was a very special gift from my friend.

I also have a few other shiny Pokemon, and several dozen more that my friend wanted me to hang onto for her until such time as she would like to see them again.

Perhaps if you really want to encounter a Shiny Umbreon in-game, would you be up for a dex trade?  It would only be temporary to record Umbreon's shiny variation in your Pokedex, and then he must return back to me.  Pretty much how it works, so we are clear.

That's really nice of you to offer, but really I would rather get my own shiny eevee... what was the method your friend uses to breed them? i always thought shinys popped up by random chance. is there a tutorial online for that or something?

Well, in a way, yes.  Ever looked on Serebii?  Serebii[dot]net is an enormous sight on everything about Pokemon, from the anime series of shows, to the trading card games, to the video game series, with everything a trainer needs to know about each Pokemon, location, move, or item.  It is a very reliable source of information, and any expert trainer knows to refer to this site whenever he or she needs to know something about the Pokemon universe.  I use it quite often for this very reason.  And yes, Shiny Pokemon do appear randomly, but they are extremely rare, and are rarer in some species than others.  They are far more rare than even the Legendary Pokemon.  But there are a few methods that increases the chances of obtaining a Shiny Pokemon.  Below is the web page of Serebii on Shiny Pokemon and how to obtain one:
serebii.net/games/shiny.shtml

I hope this helps you.  ^^

Ah, that website is great! How have I not come across it before! Thank you so much for the link, I'm going to go lurk there for several hours right now. I knew the chances of finding a shiny was one in several thousand (I know of someone who did 8 thousand resets to get a shiny kyogre) but I didn't know there were special methods for increasing that chance.

One of my favourite things about pokemon is the game has so much to it, that after ten years of playing there are still new things for me to find out about it ^_^

Sure, no problem!  Always happy to help!  ^^

So long as you are patient and persistent, I am certain you'll be able to obtain a Shiny Pokémon any species.  Personally, I don't have that kind of patience to do one myself, but until I get that Shiny Charm that can only be earned by catching all 720+ species to complete the National Pokédex, I probably won't be doing it anytime soon.  So good luck in getting some Shiny Pokémon!  ^^
