My newest drawing and probably by far my BEST Bayformer Ironhide to date. I am exceptionally pleased with this. Guess this is what a few dull hours at a PTC can do for me!Here we have Ironhide holding little Annabelle Lennox from my stories. She always enjoys riding around in his hand and I wanted that sense of wonderment and yet give her a sense of comfort at being there.

The idea of Ironhide and Annabelle being close is one that I really like. This picture really captures it well I think. Ironhide is a giant compared to her, but Annabelle doesn't seem to really notice or care, he's just a friend and a guardian to her.

your stories are beyond the pale of goodness. If there was a planet AWESOME your stuff would be some of the moons. I love this. the little girl is so unconcerned about being with him, the trust is so high. Bayverse IH is so hard to draw. Nice black and white coloration. All the emotions are there.

Thank you! In my stories I've kind of portrayed Ironhide as a big toughie with a gold heart (which in my mind is what he is). In my story I had it to where he never had any Sparklings but he never got to make any with Chromia because of the war. Annabelle filled that void for him so yeah, the relationship is like father and daughter.

I have another conspiracy about why he likes Annabelle: maybe Chromia and him lost a sparkling in the war and the baby was like her.
Or human kids are too lovable to ignore.

That would definitely be a possible scenario. However, how I wrote it in my story, Ironhide wanted to have Sparklings but since the war had started he and Chromia didn't want to bring a "child" into such a violent world. And as time passed it just never happened. Annabelle though began to take on the role as a "surrogate" child he never had.
