I meant that there's some defining qualities of 90's anime style that you should remember when drawing in that style.
Eyes should be a little more angular, irises should be vertical, and mouth should be close to the nose.

Of course, there are examples of EXTREME 90's Anime style... which is SOOO 90's that it might be hard to look at. Be wary to not draw like this
