My scanner absolutely hates this picture, and ate the colors and textures. I re-scanned 3 or 4 times, and this was the best. Ah, well!Related content

Delightfully suggestive, though I know that wasn't your intent. Even with "poor scan quality," I can see how you used your pencil strokes to imply fur. Well done!

I still think its a cool pic. At least we can see the line work. I have the same problem with colored pencils in my scanner. Especially grays but some other colors too. Even light graphite looks bad. I think that scanners are set up for photos and not art.
