it's awesome to see a work of art with a coffee stain on it...i dunno...it kind of paints a picture beyond what's on the page to the person who was making it and what was going on during/after its creation.

Rough can be desireable. It can give a dynamic feel to a piece. I also like rougher work because I can learn more from it -- the photorealistic stuff, while impressive, is way beyond my reach to emulate.

I love the little people (has no idea what to call them...) and the hand is very pretty. not really aristocracy but pretty all the same. *grins* plus, it's nice to see real looking hands when everyone else exaggerate and makes the fingers longer.
