I drew this a week or two ago and it fell into the massive pile of backlogged pics which never get finished. Recently my muse has been revived and I went digging through the backlogs and pulled out my favorites to actually sit down and finish.
Aside from that I am still a strong believer that Hiten totally rocks and dosn't get enough fandom personally. I find it tragic that such a wonderful and colorful character design got nixed after only two eps of or a few chapters of manga.

HITEN!!! I luff Hiten so much! It's so unfair that they killed him off, each time I see those episodes I practically cry.

I was watching the earlier season of Inu-Yasha, and I saw Hiten for the first time... pretty odd he comes up right now; Anyway; I nice picture, it looks exactly like him! X3

Holy crap yes. I really agree with you on that. Hiten's quite the uh.. bastard. ;D But he was an amazing character...which was really brought out with his relationship with his brother. Unfortunately Takahashi didn't really have something in mind for his design at the time. But if you think about it, I think the character design was reused in Bankotsu. The thunder? The braid? The personality. ;| I bet ya Takahashi was thinking "crap..." after she killed him! ^__^

You know I've heard that before. I found Hiten's design a bit more appealing personally. I dunno maybe I'm just partial cause he got here first. X3 I'm really trying to do something that don't just add to the noise of fanart (although that is rather egotistical of me now that I think about it...) There of are just characters that are neglected that I really enjoyed.

this is a really nice pic. i love the detail in his clothes and his expression. the bg is a really nice touch.
i really liked hiten too. he was so arrogant though. altough, if it wasn't for him kagome might not realize that inuyasha does care about her..however much he's still stuck on kikyou.

Thunder Brother!! I loved the relationship that he had with his brother, and it was a shame that they got nixed so early on in the series. I think they would have made for a more interesting story if they'd somehow survived.
