The Last Human.----
Our second illustration for Donato Giancola's Sci-Fi class. I could ramble on about it, but this time I'll leave the rambling up to you maybe?
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has stuck with me all this time and through the many phases my artwork has gone through these past 4+ years I've been here. You guys are awesome, don't forget it!
Why hello 5am, so nice to see you again on this lovely due date~! (however this pic was done over the course of...4ish weeks I think lol)

yes, he is really the best teacher I've had that I'm taking the class again...he's almost like a mentor to me, he's extremely kind.
He teaches a Sci-Fi illustration class at the School of Visual Arts.

lol yeah...I mean, he has an assistant who is actually a former student of his that he became friends with and that is a recent thing so I don't think he has interns or anything. but yeah, I know he has open visitations to his studio so maybe you can call him and ask about doing that at least?

haha thank you~! And no I did not, I got a B+ which shows just how hard this class is lol. but I did get an A overall so yay.

Wow, hon, this came out great! I can't even understand how you made this! For some reason, I understand painting just fine, but digital painting remains a mystery to me, even though it seems to use the same exact concepts...
Congrats on finally finishing it! I'm sure Donato will love it!

lol thank you hon! I...I'm not really sure either...each time I worked on it I pulled an all-nighter, so...it kinda just..happened? O____o;;;
rofl I dunno, I just painted into my charcoal sketch like I would regular paint...it was weird but not bad...huh. can't really explain it. XDD;;
YAY thanies~! haha I hope he will, like, really bad. I REALLY want that A+ in his class...then my life will be complete! or something. (he only gives it to people who he feels could stand up to the working pros, I want it so bad!) lol

LOVE IT FC! Friggin love love it! Of COURSE Clint Eastwood a la Gran Torino wins it all! He will survive because that is what he knows and he'll do whatever he thinks he has to! I want to hug him adn call him Grandpa so he'll make sure I survive too.

I really love how he looks.... the opposite of what people normally think, a bedraggled I Am Legend kind of thing. He looks confident and coy, like he knows exactly what he's doing. I want to know the story behind it.

thank you, I'm glad you liked him! haha yeah I definitely wanted to steer away from anything traditional with his look. (it's my grandpa, I love using him as reference lol)
