Wow, this took me about a few weeks at the most to work on, and let me tell ya, drawing Basil for my first time was not easy XD

I am entering the second contest for Silver and Gold, and if you have never heard of it, it's a Great Mouse Detective fanfic that was originally being written by Lilgrimmapple but is now adopted by Bookwriter94. Lil does artwork for it, though, and is now doing a comic for it, and guys I highly encourage you to go support those two and check out the story and comic! Trust me, it's that good! If you're interested in checking out the contest, here's all the info down below:

Contest #2Hey guys! The time has come again for another "Silver and Gold" contest! Are you ready? ‘Cause I’m ready! The theme for this current contest is: Draw what you want to see happen later in "Silver and Gold." The contest slots will be 16 in total. Last time we filled up all 15 slots, so as promised, I will extend the slots with one more! I want everyone to have a chance to enter if they wish. If you can't join, that's okay too. No hard feelings. I know that a few of you won't be joining this time around and that's okay. This is all for fun. There's always next time. The rules are as follows. While I still want you to tag me when you submit your entry, you now have a folder where you can submit it. It's labeled as "Contest #2." So yeah, you're going to have to be a member of this group to do so. Any other questions or concerns, you can comment down below or note me. Okay, so here are the rules:You must be a member of The-Silver-Watchers. You must have read or are currently reading "Silver and Gold." (Trust me, knowing the context will help you.) Please enter your art in the appropriate folder, "Contest #2." You can't enter once all slots are filled. Sorry.Take your time. Quality over quantity. Be courteous to the contenders. Do not insult their work, but instead practice constructive criticism. Always better to help someone improve instead of demeaning their self-confidence. Remember, there is no such thing as bad art. Add a little something in the description box to tell us about your piece. Tag or link me so I know that you have entered. No Dollmaker, copying/pasting characters from the show, and tracing pictures/bases. You can use references if it helps you. No, you don't have to draw your own backgrounds if it's too hard. But overall, you need to draw your entry yourself. :)9 3/4. Feel free to ask me any questions that you have. If you need help, I am more than willing to help you.HAVE LOTS OF FUN!!! We will have voting begin on the 16th or the day after if the slots are filled before the date, and like before, I will not be voting. I will just be the one to deliver the prizes and Bookwriter94 will be the one to tally up the votes and announce the winners. I'll be honest, I didn't think I was gonna participate since I was working on other things, but by golly when I saw what the theme was the gears instantly were turning in my head and I eventually came up with this. The theme was draw what you want to see happen later in "Silver and Gold", and of course I'm definitely excited for some upcoming action, some more mystery to be unraveled, and the slow burn romance. However, if there is anything I'd like to see happen in future chapters, I definitely would love to see Anna catch a break for once - at least for a bit anyway - and get to do what she loves to do the most. With the tensions pretty high, I can see more pressure being put on Anna as she's battling her emotions but tries to relax when she finally has time for herself, like drawing and maybe even eating some comfort food while she's doing that.

So yeah, I pretty much drew Anna in her chamber painting Basil that's a WIP. I actually did try turning this into a comic, but it didn't turn out the way I liked it, but I actually like how this came out. Maybe I might write out what I had in mind for the comic for a little bonus, but we'll see. Anyway, for those of you entering or plan to I wish you all a good luck ^w^
