My hand is in severe pain.

Not from drawing Astro Boy.

Drawing Astro is really, really fun~ I mean, his design is so simple and awesome, and at the same time, you could recognize him by his silhouette alone. He's perfect for drawing when you're in school and you don't have time to agonize over OVER 9000 details in a character's costume.

Don't get me wrong, Link is super fun to draw, too. His outfit is just... Kinda tedious. You could ignore all of the details in his outfit and he'd still be recognizable, too... But I've cosplayed him, and spent hours upon hours staring at reference pictures and creating his outfit.
I can't go through all that and just IGNORE the details in his costume. ;u;

Summary: Astro = simple and fun; Link = complex and fun

So.
My hand hurts.
Because this whole thing...
was on lined paper.
And I just spent an hour or so getting rid of all the lines.

Explanations:

The one where he's curled up and stuttering is from the movie when he's trying to tell this girl from the surface that he's a robot. Vague explanation is vague Just so you know he's not freaking out 'cause he can suddenly produce rockets out of his feet and drill through mountains. He was actually pretty thrilled about that...

Butt machine guns are self explanatory. And awesome.

The one where he's holding a marshmallow up to his foot is because it would be awesome to be able to have rocket feet because they can be used for more than just flying.

The dog-thing is Trashcan. Trashcan is a robot dog that is also a trashcan. Hence his name. He is also awesome.

And sometimes I feel he needs a cape.
Just 'cause.
