The north-east corner of Nidraka now, the great region of Ernynas.

Erninas is probably the most inhospitable region to life in all of Nidraka. Even the beasts that do live there are very few in numbers and so are the dragonesses that actually hunt there. A massive sun-bleached desert and a tropical archipelago are all there is to find here, but still many human settlements can be found in the desert in the forms of a small number of little but very lively oasis, pumping water up from underground cisterns where the water that flows through the underlands ends up. There are two main reasons why humans would live there. First, there is an untold amount of riches that can be extracted from both the mountains and the sand, which is made of a not insignificant amount of precious but dusted minerals and ores. Second, due to the rarity of prey, dragonesses only hunt there as an absolute last resort most of the time, making Ernynas Desert the only almost dragoness-free area of Nidraka.
