This is the fate of numerous humans and anotus who wander outside their cities, nests and fortresses. While dragonesses are omnivorous, the vast majority prefers hunting prey that can be swallowed whole due to their strong dislike of blood. While this is the practical explanation, most dragonesses simply enjoy the hunt and how the prey struggles inside them.
As usual, I'm trying to improve so any feedback is appreciated.

Worst thing is, if he had told her his name and reason for exile instead of panicking, chances are high she would have guided him to Maxil since she doesn't consider desertion to be worth exile.

Yeah that's one thing Maya never understands. In a world where most dragonesses want to eat you its normal to be terrified, even of one who acts friendly.
