JUST seconds after his take-off, stream of lights passed through him. Knowing exactly what they were, there's only one thing in his mind: get the fcuk out of there!!! as the grounds shattered, decimating all living organism.---
A few more hours of doodling in PS5.5/mouse.
For some reason, I felt the need to make it look more messy to bring out the feeling better but I'm just too lazy. >.< (I'm sucker in cockpit)
The reason for the tilted perspective is that I want to make it feel like the pilot is ascending almost vertically as he struggles to live free.

Awesome work. Ya there are some problems with it but then again it's a sketch and you don't really notice them till you upload it and look at it the next day or 5 minuts later (i do it all the time) But what really shows your tallent is the coloring and style. Great job with the glair and smoke. I don't know why your using a mouse. I used one too for a long time but I think you should try the wacom tablet. It will be very weird and seem shity at first but it's unbelievable once you get the hang of it. And you'll be poping out sketches faster. Anyway great work. Like to see more stuff from you.

the forth-shortening of his left hand is a little bit awl...
the pilot got major proportion problem...(try to figure it out)
u juz sit in the car, and pose like the pilot, u will get what i mean.

well, it's finished..
ive decided not to go the full extends of my usual detailed work.. they are just too time-consuming and i learnt a lil from them..
however, i do appreciate your comments alot, i always appreciate honest input..

ni terms of composition, its great use of neg space.. but the actuality of it is that
1)the cockpit is to the side?
2)his thrust controls(left hand) seems to be infront of his left leg. which... must mean hes a world class gymnast /contortionist? his right hands fingers should be wrapped around a stick, not a paddle (as it seems).. and it loosk... heheha
the visor is coolest, the design isnt really.. but the whole retro kickassness of the pic is jsut sheer carnal lust thanks for the candy man

No, the cockpit is suppose to face the front. I didn't see the problem in my sketch and was halfway through it when I realized it.
As for the weird body proportion, again, I'm suppose to draw out the sense of forces pushed behind since it's going fast up. Hence, the out-of-place leg and knee positions.
But, yeah something is gravely wrong about the look of it.

jus awhile ago i increased the brightness for my monitor, and i goes wtf...!! no wonder man... cuz i was working in a rather dark situation and i missed out shitloads of problems.. and i understood what you mean by the gymnast statement.. well the shinning is suppose to be his thigh, not his knee which is what it looks exactly like.. Urghhhhh!
