Description Some more concepts for my Batman Gothic Lolita doujinshi. Notice I removed 'Masque' from the title--that's because that's the title of the first storyline I thought up, and we've got more planned now!

Scarecrow was hard. It's hard to Lolitafy these characters when so many of them are male! And the fact that the Batman females usually wear some sort of bodysuit, so you can alter that a lot, but the males often wear more traditional clothing so it's closer already to what you would have in an EGL situation. But anyway, I wanted him to be scary. I was looking at the Arkham Asylum video game concepts and thought it was funny--they gave Scarecrow this gas mask thing, but they didn't include what I think is the scariest visual aspect of a gas mask: the eyes. So I tried to get a somewhat similar look with the goggles. About halfway through, I realized what my main influence was--a Redead.

With Catwoman I wanted to play with the idea of a calico cat by throwing that white and brownish red in there.

This is my version of the Riddler, (whom I always thought didn't get as much credit for being cool as he deserved,) but we'll probably go with our original idea: [link]

I had to cut off Scarecrow's feet cuz he's too tall.

First of all, I really like your design of the Riddler here. He looks more suave than most takes, which makes sense with his narcissistic personality.

Catwoman's dress is so, cool! So many familiar elements, but very unique over all. And I like the added color in the brownish red. It makes her a little more flashy.

The Scarecrow is good in that he actually looks a lot like a patched together scarecrow. I can totally see a scene where he'd just be out in a field and then sneaking up on people. Creepy...

Thank you! Like I said, I wanted him to seem cooler than he often does.

And thank you again! I made several last-minute decisions with her (including the color) that I think made it much better.

Very good. I have thought about having a scene like that, but then I thought, how could anyone in this situation see a scarecrow and not think it's Scarecrow? The readers, at least.

Well done on that front.

It's so great when those last minute things work out so well.

Hmm, methinks you would have to establish that there was just a regular scarecrow first, and then you could replace him with Scarecrow. Ya know?

Thanks again!

Hmm, that could work. We'll have to see if there is an opportunity for it...

Ah FireFiriel, you're so good at all these costume designs! I love it! I especially like Catwoman's dress with the black frills

I thought that Scarecrow looked pretty creepy...Redead....yeah, I can feel it. Yeesh. And of course, I like the fact that he actually does totally look like a legit scarecrow, which is different than a lot of the other versions I've seen of him. And the fact that he DOES look like a scarecrow makes him creepier for people who ARE scared of scarecrows...
That was a clever way to go with Catwoman's design. Gives her the right spot of color and sets her apart from Batman's color scheme, which is good since they have the most black.
Aww I like this version of the Riddler...though the other one is ridiculously adorable. How can that be villainous?!

Good! I'm kinda scared of scarecrows myself.
Yeah, these people wear too much black!
How can he indeed?
