So, I better start from the beginning... (WALL OF TEXT TIEM *SHOT*)
Okay, so about a little less than two months ago, I was in the chats at school, and so was Yori. We were talking, and somehow or another we got talking about Dallas and Del. I, of course, kept trying to convince her that they would make a great match, and well... Although she was TRYING to deny it, she kept screwing up and saying stuff to support it XDD *SHOT* She had messed up twice when I told her that if she screwed up anymore, I would totes draw a shipping pic~ *SHOT* Well, she said she was almost tempted to screw up again tried not to, buuuuuutttttt... you see how that ended BDDDD *SHOOOOOOOOOOOTDEAD* ... Plus, it was also gonna serve as her laaaaaaate birthday present, seeing as I never got to draw her a picture ;u;
So... we continued chatting, and somehow she mentioned that Del should teach Dallas how to dance, seeing as he only dances for Del~ And well... she realized what she said, and was scared of what kind of thoughts I had going through my mind. At the time though, I really didn't think about it, and had just brushed it off...
But... a few days later, I was still trying to figure out what to draw, and that thought came back to me... and... after one try, this idea got produced. On paper, too, surprisingly. The sketch was incomplete, but I scanned it then finished it on the computer. I was soooo happy with the sketch, seeing as usually when I do side-views, it comes out all disproportionate and such X3 So, with the line-art completed, I put the base colors down... but I was unsure of WHERE they were D8 The sketch only consisted of them two, and I was utterly at a loss.
It was some time after... I was still stuck... and I decided I could show Yori. The perfect chance came one day at school, when she had woken up early. I opened up the subject of her picture by teasing her about it, how I could see it and such~ She was pretty anxious of what it was... Well, a little later, I offered to show it to her, and she said she would like to see it... buuuut... I was so nervous, and I held out a while |D It wasn't 'til she was working on a meme, and how she was kinda frustrated, that I offered to murder her eyes 8D And... Well... LET'S JUST SAY HER FACE BROKE- *SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT*******
From then on, I consulted her once in a while on the subject... But even so, even with her support, it still took me a good while to think of a setting/lighting. Somehow or another, I got paper lanterns into my head. And let me tell you... THOSE DAMN PAPER LANTERNS WERE SOOOOO FJDSLKFJLSDJFLSD :iconwhywouldyoudoFFFFplz: *SHOOOOOOT* ... But... I MADE THE PERFECT PAPER LANTERN, DAMN STRAIGHT! *SHOOOOOOOOOOT*
So... one thing led to another, and eventually I thought of putting them somewhere in a pavillion or big gazebo or SOMETHING... but... I was too lazy to draw the outside LOLOL *DEAD* But the color looks nice... right? X3 *SHOT* But yeah...
Overall... I guess I could have done better, you know, with the lighting/shading and such, but I really love this~ SO MUCH~ Throughout the time I was drawing this, I would get to squealing and giggling and such, and I'd have to literally look away in order to calm down and continue working XDD *SHOT* I just- I LOVE THEM SO MUCH <333 WHY AREN'T THEY TOGETHERRRRRR FJDLSKFJLSKJFKLSD *SHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTDEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAADDDDDD*
Well...What else to say... I spent countless, random hours over these last months doing this. I should have timed it, I really should have X3 And now... IT'S ANOTHER STEP~
