Have you tried looking in beading? Or maybe in the jewelry crafts section? Well sometimes both are in one big section like at HobbyLobby. That place has a bunch of stuff and I think I've seen something like those, Michelle's might work too. And now I'm rambling sorry lol

This princess Zelda Armour step by step makes so much sense!
I spent all week trying to find good e.g's on how to make Zelda's Accessories, because I already got the dress sorted out, but every signal tutorial I when on, didn't make sense!
But I then came a cross this by mistake, I thought this was so much more understanding.

Craft foam are light-weight sheets of foam that can be used in a variety of different crafts. It's very inexpensive and easy to work with.

Could have used this two years ago when I made my Zelda costume! I had to cobble mine together using patterns and references from maybe 6 different sources. You did a great job.
