Description
This fairy gown was inspired by the vibrant fuchsia 'Emma Louise' flower (www.rushcreekgrowers.com/indexβ¦ ). I wanted the overall look of the gown to resemble a upside down flower. The top being the sepal holding the petals that fall below. I made an asymmetrical underbust corset that laces up on each side under the arms. The silk ombre petals are decorated with varying size sequins and beads. It also lights up! I embedding LEDs in the wings to give it that "faerie glow" at night.Another version -Β

This is gorgeous!!! I love the organic feel of the entire outfit, this is exactly how I feel that faeries would dress. I do have a question though, how on earth do you make those delicate little "holes" and "tears" that look like insect damage? I just love it and I'd love to give it a go on a couple of my own costumes, but I have no idea where to start. This whole design is ingenious and I tip my hat to you for your brilliance!
