Wooh, finally! This took me forever. For those of you who don't know this is Kaylee from the amazing and unjustly cancelled TV show and ressurection into a movie, Firefly. Let me state that again. Firefly. Something you should go out right now and buy. You must watch. Watch the TV show and the movie Serenity. If you haven't seen them you don't understand what you are missing. So much heart and depth in this show, not much like it on TV. Annnnyyhhhoooo..... Kaylee is my favorite character and I felt it was my job as a browncoat to do a fanart for this show.I couldn't decide on a background so I submit both for your preference. Here are the differences:
First Kaylee: Black lines, with an edited and altered screencap from the show.
Second Kaylee: Brown lines (gives a better feel of the show I think) with the logo of the ship behind her. (It says 'Serenity')
BTW- The wrench she is holding was an actual prop from the movie that was given away in a contest by the podcast I listen to ===> [link]
And though I love the show, it is not why my name is Firefly0. That was just a bonus.

I have to tell you that I usually am not a big fan of Firefly fanart, because so many artists try to capture them so exactly that it never works.
But I love this, because any browncoat can see immediately that it is Kaylee without it looking exactly like Jewel Staite. Does that make sense?
I would love to see your take on the rest of the crew. Especially Jayne! *g*

anyway i totally recognized her, she's adorable :3
i would definitely go with the second one, because although the first is a lovely background and whatnot, it's far too dark for how she's been shaded. and, since her pose is very um- well, posey, it makes more sense to put her in front of something more abstract, i think.
