garden snake came out of hibernation to enjoy some New Year's sun....*update* Not only was this guy a finalist in the 5th annual Smithsonian contest. It was on display there. Also just recently was contacted by the Smithsonian Channel, they want to use it on an episode they are making. Should be out sometime early next year. More to come...

wow thats just awesome.. im so afraid of snakes, but this guy looks like he is just saying "hey whats up?" .. I really like the focus on this.

thanks sweetie...really a very harmless snake, but it was acting all tough
was a real treat to shoot, since everything is so ugly around here this time of year.

Thanks so much Io, he was actually a very cooperative model. I think he must have been fooled out of hibernation. It was 60 degrees yesterday.
