Finally, a full weeks worth of work done, but he was worth it! This Discord plush is made of Fleece, Minky, faux Leather, faux fur, fiberfill and has a full body jointed armature. His eyes are Machine embroidered using SoapyBacon's excellent embroidery files. He has hand embroidered details and a ton of hand sewn parts! He is completely posable with NO WIRES! I made him to match my plush pony proportions so he's nearly 3 feet tall!!! Check out my other deviantions to see him actually holding my Fluttershy plush in a hug.This Discord is an Everfree NW convention exclusive plush and will be at my booth at the Convention. July 5-7th in Seatac, WA. Come check him out!!!
After the convention I will take a very limited number of commissions for more Discord plushes if anyone is interested in owning one.

Aw this is one of the best Discord plushies I've seen. I want one so badly. I wish I weren't halfway across the country. I'll understand if you don't take commissions on DA, but just out of curiosity, how much would you estimate for a smaller (let's say, 12 inch) version?

To be honest,... Smaller plushes aren't easy, at least not for me. It's much easier to stuff them and sew them when they are bigger, IMO.
I've never tried making a smaller plush than my 15 inch ponies, so I'd have to play around with it to see if its even possible to make him that size.
I will open my commissions back up after this weekend's commission and when I do I'll put a price list up on a journal on my DA page, so keep an eye out for it

I look forward to that. I've wanted to tinker around with plush making for characters whose official plushies are either super rare or nonexistent, but I don't feel confident enough in my geometry to make patterns using just 2-dimensional images of the character from various angles as reference. And I don't see very many beginners' templates out there for the characters I want.

I still consider myself a beginner, only having made plushes for 4 months,... But with trial and error I feel comfortable enough to draft all my own patterns now. I knew if I wanted a Discord I'd have to make my own, there just aren't many plush makers doing him right now!
So, don't be afraid to try making your own pattern! I draw a new pattern then sew a draft out of cheap cotton or flannel so I can tweak things before seeing the real plush.

I found a decent enough looking pony pattern online, and I thought I'd modify the head a bit to try a Doctor Whooves.

Yes, definitely! There is so much variation between the stallions that I have to modify their head patterns (and usually body patterns too) for ever different boy!!! I've made Big Mac and Shining Armor and have patterns done for Dr Hooves and Jeff Letrotsky, and they are all slightly different.
