It certainly does, but it also obscures key elements of the skyline. You aren't really in a position to bring the tripod down lower either, otherwise the ladder becomes an issue.

Nope. It's uniquely Aussie It's kind of what I suspected I'd find in Sydney or around the beaches there--just a ladder into the ocean. Many people might think that you folks installed those ladders but actually it's for the Landsharks who emerge from the sea to go into Sydney for a bite--the sushi bars are terrific (

Sorry, my mind runs away...I'd try to catch it but I'm out of breath
Very cool image, Malcolm

Thanks John, you might be right about the landsharks, no wonder the sushi bars are multiplying

So can I ask a technical question. Why did you choose F/14 and a 400 ISO as opposed to a large aperture and slower iso?
P.s Excellent work!

I think that the lens is sharpest at apertures between F11 and F14. The ISO and shutter speeds were all experiments to get the image that I wanted whilst not having a boat coming through the middle of it

Yeah nice, I took a similar shot from pretty much the same place. I think i may have been further around the point to the right. :thumb203384253: I had a similar image in mind when taking it (mind you I think I just forgot to change the ISO hahaha) but in the end i've decided i've over done it in PS.
