Had some spare time, and am really happy with my new filly pattern, and I felt like making another 'simple and clean' plush after Scootaloo...and one with a less weird expression...so here is Applebloom. Looking back at my gallery, I was astounded to see that I've only actually made standard Applebloom once - WAY back when I started plushing. Since she's my favorite CMC, I simply could not let that stand. Applebloom is made from Yellow, Red, and Fuschia minky, with applique eyes and hand-painted gradient for the irises. The bow has a little bit of light wire in it to hold the shape. She is 11" tall to the top of her head.I'm starting to think it would be fun to do a booth at Bronycon or something one year - it's nice sometimes to make plushes the way I want to make them, instead of to commission specifications. They're both fun in their own ways.

The young Apple looks super sweet and even a little expectant, perhaps looking forward with delight to finding out which lucky fun she'll get to live with. Great form and super adorable expression.

As I remember it, she was LESS happy after getting her cutie mark because it meant she couldn't do awesome stuff with her friends all the time.

I remember that that unhappiness was due to a misunderstanding. She thought that they were NEVER going to hang out anymore, but in actuality they were just going to start doing their own things some of the time.
In fact, it's a better arrangement now than it was before; they did stuff together more often than they would have cared to, because they felt like they HAD to help each other in order to get ahead in life. After earning their Cutie Marks, they also earned the liberty to do stuff together without feeling obligated, AND to do stuff individually without feeling guilty.
