So this is the pair of plushies I've been hinting at for the last while :3 I'm quite happy with how they turned out! I was thinking of trying some cotter pin joints in their necks so that they have a greater range of expression and are more posable together, but I haven't been able to get any locally. Maybe once I find some I'll update these plushes and see how that works. Opinions? Should I joint their necks? Anyway!
I wanted to test my laying pattern a couple of times more so that people could get a better look at it and decide if they like it. I love working with this pattern - it's probably my favorite now! I've also wanted to make Twilight and Flash together for a while now, partly because there are very few Flash Sentry plushes and partly because I'm a shameless fangirl.
They're made so that they can lie face to face with hooves entwined, or side by side snuggling with Flash's wing over Twi's back. I had a lot of fun doing Flash's half-closed wings, and I really like how they came out. I couldn't find two blues close enough for Flash's hair, so I used two different dye lots of the same color that are slightly different. I think I may be addicted to blushing ponies now.

Something about the extra little curve you put into them is really cool!
And the expressions on these two are so cute!
While jointed heads would be interesting, I actually think you have them in a great configuration already.

I'm really happy with how the expressions turned out. The idea of jointed heads is interesting, but I'm starting to think it wouldn't work so well with these two - particularly because Flash's hair is continuous from his head to his neck, and that just would not work at all...

You wouldn't want to have to dismantle too much of your work just to add the joints.

Ah, I don't mind taking them apart - I just don't think that everything would work logistically with the jointing - I would have had to have made them with the intent of jointing them for it to work

My goodness these guys are totally adorable! I love their little blushes and Flash's half closed wings, just so cute!
I think jointed heads are super cool, even though they can be quite silly too. I get all my joints from Disco Joints and I've never ever had a problem with them. Personally I prefer plastic joints because I think they are a bit more tough then cotter joints because cotter joints use fiberboard, which really isn't that tough, but to each their own. Disco Joints has both kinds, and at good prices, so hopefully that helps you in your quest to find them:
