So this is the pair of plushies I've been hinting at for the last while :3 I'm quite happy with how they turned out! I was thinking of trying some cotter pin joints in their necks so that they have a greater range of expression and are more posable together, but I haven't been able to get any locally. Maybe once I find some I'll update these plushes and see how that works. Opinions? Should I joint their necks? Anyway!
I wanted to test my laying pattern a couple of times more so that people could get a better look at it and decide if they like it. I love working with this pattern - it's probably my favorite now! I've also wanted to make Twilight and Flash together for a while now, partly because there are very few Flash Sentry plushes and partly because I'm a shameless fangirl.
They're made so that they can lie face to face with hooves entwined, or side by side snuggling with Flash's wing over Twi's back. I had a lot of fun doing Flash's half-closed wings, and I really like how they came out. I couldn't find two blues close enough for Flash's hair, so I used two different dye lots of the same color that are slightly different. I think I may be addicted to blushing ponies now.

I can't really describe too well via comment, but having the ability to tilt their heads slightly so their foreheads could cuddle would make for an adorable picture!

It would! Unfortunately the joints would only allow side-to-side movement, not up-and-down...

*update* After settling for a few weeks, their necks are supple enough that their foreheads can be made to rest against each other. Thanks for the suggestion, it's adorable.

Damn. Never seen half-closed wings on plushies. Looks super neat! I really like your new pattern. Only think I'd might change is making the eyes a teeeny tiny bit smaller (or the head bigger).

In such an interpretive medium such as a television special, people are definitely allowed to have their own interpretations and opinions on them, much like a piece of art.
I think its great people are able to get something enjoyable out of the character or pairing or whatever; personally, I couldn't find anything I liked about it
