***A week later***

After the whole flock was changed and NewBorn Max finally allowed herself to go near any of them.  The only propblem was that they were all obsessed with blood, they all had to hunt a coupel times a week to keep from ripping each other apart.  Rosalie ignored them all, especially ANgel, completely while everyone else took the flock in like family.

***four months later***

"We're not sticking around," Max said one day when Esme mentioned the word 'family'.  "once we're all controlled completely then we're on our way to make a life."
"That's right, we're never going to stay here," I stated.  "We can't stick around in one place without whitecoats chasing after us."
"Fang!  we don't have to worry about being hurts!  they can't hurt us!  I saw Iggy trying to stab himself earlier to test his hardness and nothing happened!  his skin is a rock! so is mine and Gazzy's! we both ttried it too and it worked!  Angel wouldn't do it but she knew it was the truth!" Nudge said excitedly bouncing up and down on the grass.
I noticed the ground below her being pressed deeper down with each bounce.  She'd have to control her eagerness before she moved the earth itself out of orbit.
"Iggy stabbed you guys?" Max asked incredulously and glared at Iggy.
"Hey they both offered after i tried it on myself," Iggy said without moving.
"Still what if they werent like you and not rock hard?  what if you stabbed and they got really hurt?" Max asked.
"Then You'd heal them before anything could happen," Gazzy chimed in.  "Don't yell at Iggy for something i signed up for.  if he'd done it without asking then you could have yelled but he didn't so you can't."
a snarled ripped from Max's throat and she glared at Gazzy.
"I know you think you're invincible now Gasser," I started. "But you're not and neither is Ig or Nudge, or any of us.  we can all be killed."
"Fang's right," Angel said quietly.  "I saw what it looks like... Rosalie showed me."  She shuddered.
Max whipped her head aroun d to glare at Rosalie.  "You had to show her that?" she hissed.  "Why did you show her what it looks like?"
Rosalie shrugged.  "I didn't mean to. she can read minds.  i didn't know there were any more priers around," she said and glanced at Edward.  "One mind reader is bad enough.   now there's two."
Max rolled her eyes.  "You know i liked you at first," she muttered and Rosalie grinned.
"You're not going to like being fifteen forever," Rosalie told her.  "Stuck in puberty, all three of you." she glanced at me, Max, and Ig and then back to Max alone.
"Rosalie, i know that," Max muttered.  "none of them should be stuck," she said as if she forgot me and the rest of us was sitting all around her.
":You shouldn't be either," Jasper stated from the couch next to Emmett.
"No," Edward said in response to something someone thought.
"Don't worry Jasper, you didn't mean to," Angel said trying to be soothing.
"Don't you dare," Alice growled at him.   "Don't you dare, don't you dare, dont you dare!"
Jasper remained silent after that.
"I won't even ask," Max muttered.  "let him do whatever he wants to do Alice."
She left the house at her new speed and I followed quickly behind.  when i caught up to her she was in the baseball field standing in the middle of it, standing completely still.  she suddenly snapped her bright wings out and shoot straight up like a rocket.
"max!" i called when she was about a hundred feet up.  i unfurled my wings and followed suit.  i was beside her in seconds and we were both just hovering in the air.
"Fang, i'm sorry i left like that," she said before i could say a thing.
I didn't reply but i kissed her and wrapped my arms around her, just because i knew that's what she needed.
She wrapped her arms around my neck after a few seconds and kissed me back.  so we were there, hovering and kissing in the sky.  I was sure that now we could stay like that forever if we wantd to.
I knew that we couldn't.
But i didn't want to stop, so i didn't.
Not yet...
maybe another hour or so...
I could feel Max tighten her grip on my self consciously so i could tell that she was thinking the same way.
