So.... a random doodle over lunch today that I liked. Yesss....I wanted to make a reptile-ish char. So the first thing I doodled out was an iguana. I doodled out a couple other sketches too... but I liked the iguana one.
I guess she's not the greatest attempt... I stuck a collar on her because the dewlap would just look odd... so I figured a chocker could hold the dewlap down. Yeah...
She's of course flat as a board.
I think if I draw her again I might do more scale details other than the larger scales on the cheeks. I made the wrists and ankle more chunky like an iguana's as opposed to more tapered like a humans.
I'm also slowly falling in love with mohawks after seeing my classmate's haircut. She's got this adorable mohawk that she never styles up so it just kinda cuts to one side. It looks pretty on her.
This was an overglorified concept sketch. I wanted to play with it.

Now THAT"S true to reptiles! If you want to draw an anthro lizard...it's impossible for them to have breasts xD. I know the whole anthro thing is fantasy...but they'd still have reptilian genes..and reptilian body-types absolutely can't handle milk..and thus..no breasts ><.

Very beautiful. I love the simple use of colors and textures for the foliage and branches, and the shading and pose on her.

first of all, let me thank you wholheartedly for not putting breats on a critter that isn't a mammal. This is awesome. You did a fantastic job of making her read as female withou the boobies, she looks so graceful. ^_^

I think it is very nice. I immediately thought it was a female. The only reason I was not 100% sure was that many people draw very androgenous male characters, especially the manga fans. That and the fact that there were no breasts but I find that very refreshing. Why would a reptile have breasts other that just to try and make it look more feminine? Your picture does not need to do that as the character is very feminine even without breasts and the small dewlap and large wrists and ankles add a lot to the image. I like it a lot. I love to see intelligent anthro pics like this where some thought went into the design instead of just putting a pair of ears and a tail on a regular buxom girl.

As much as I love the 'kemonomimi" I do enjoy anthro characters as well... But for this I wanted to do a bit more work on a group that doesn't get much attention.
And sadly... I do love drawing buxom woomen.... but yeah... boobs on an iguana is a bit odd O_o
