Chapter 3

Be mine Dashie

Dash could not believe this, Soarin the wonderbolt was her coach and also her lover, She was so busy daydreaming that she did not notice her abode was coming up. "Hey Equestria to Dashie," said Soarin startling her out of her dreamed state. "This your place?"

"Huh oh yeah sorry," said Dash as she landed on the cloud. 'What are you doing you stupid mare acting like some love struck filly?' she thought for the love of Equestria she was blushing. Quickly she turned her face from Soarin hiding her embarrassed look away from him.

Soarin chuckled to himself. He knew that Dash had been looking at him rather than concentrating, he also knew that Dash was self-conscious. 'She's so endearing when she is blushing'. Soarin thought to himself, eager to see her glow even more he asked her a question that left her speechless.

"Uh Soarin do you think you could repeat that?"

"Sure Dashie," said Soarin, enjoying looking at her flushed face. "Do you think I am good looking?" Rainbow Dash was lost for words no Stallion had ever asked her that question before.

Eventually she did break the silence looking at Soarin. " Guess you saw me looking at you." Said Rainbow dash, there was no point hiding her feelings away from him. The truth was Dash found him very handsome. His pelt was the same colour as the winter sky, his mane and tail was a magnificent shade of midnight blue.

But the main feature he had that Dash loved most was his emerald eyes. Oh she could get lost in them. They radiated a strong sense of gentleness and love for her, Dash blushed once more but this time she made no effort to hide it.

"Well Dashie?" Soarin was getting eager to hear her response to his question. Rainbow Dash smirked as she led him inside her house and then into the living room. She pushed Soarin onto the sofa with a devious smile appearing on her face she leaned in and whispered in his ear.

"Well what do you think?" as she kissed him firmly on the lips. Soarin smiled as he wrapped his hooves around her pulling her closer to him. Kissing her, he started to stroke her wings slowly dragging his hoof along her soft feathers causing her to let out a moan.

The two ponies rubbed themselves against one another never looking away from each other's eyes. Soarin was the one to break the silence. "I love you Dashie more than anything." He pulled her closer once more before asking her one more question

"Errrr Dashie can I ask you something?" Soarin asked looking at his beloved mare. He wasn't sure on how Rainbow Dash would take this but he had to ask.

"Sure. This wouldn't be another question to get me to blush is it?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well sort of," Soarin was looking nervous "Dashie how would you feel about being my spouse?" Rainbow Dash was quite for a while which made Soarin worried "I'm so sorry Dashie I did not mean to spring it on you s soon."

Dash put her hoof on his mouth to silence him. "Do you really mean that Soarin do you really want me to be your wife?"

Soarin beamed at Dash before pulling her in for another kiss. "My dear Dashie I would not want it to be any other way".

Kneeling down on one knee and getting out a beautiful bracelet out he asked the mare of his dreams the most important question in his entire life.

"Rainbow Dash Sapphire Sky will you marry me?"

"YES, YES, YES !" Rainbow Dash squealed throwing herself into Soarin arms. She could have easily woken up ½ of Cloudsdale, but she could not care less. She had her stallion, her hero and her idol all to herself.

She smiled as Soarin fasten the bracelet on her right for hoof before embracing him. The moment was broken when an orange pegasi came crashing in.

"Haven't you heard of knocking?" Rainbow Dash said to the pegasi who was trembling, "Fireglow is that you?" .She was in her cursed state her body was shivering and her coat was pale.

"I came here to warn you." Said Fireglow "You must get out of Cloudsdale as quickly as you can."

"Why?" asked Soarin. The answer was soon clear as soon as Fireglow pointed out of the window. A sinister mist was covering Cloudsdale destroying everything in site.

"What the?" Rainbow Dash was horrified. Soarin kicked open the door so a clear entry was made for the three ponies "Come on we have to leave this place now."

There was no time for second thoughts they fled as fast as they could. Dash wanted to look back but Fireglow stopped her. "Don't look back just keep going!"

All the residents had the same idea the sky was pouring down with pegasi, as Ponyvile was getting closer. As soon as they landed they looked up at Cloudsdale it was totally consumed by that mist. This had to be the work of lady Darcy the wyvern queen of darkness. Although they had only seen her once after they defeated Blueblood she had made it obvious that she was evil.

She was the one who cursed Fireglow to see nothing but despair and feel misery. Soon a vision of the evil Queen came into view. She was laughing at the frightened ponies

"I see you've all got out in time, well most of you did anyway. What a shame" Darcy laughed.

"What have you done to cloudsdale?" Shouted Thunderlane who was getting ready to charge at the queen. Darcy looked at the dark pegasi and shook her head " I just claimed it. Cloudsdale belongs to me now as well as the cupcake killer. Ha ha ha it was so straightforward to destroy your lives."

"You monster!" growled Fireglow.

Darcy gave her cursed victim a cold look "well if it isn't Fireglow." She circled the pegasi "How are you enjoying your curse?"

The look on Fireglow's said it all her eyes were burning with hatred as she looked at Darcy. It was rare to see Fireglow cross, usually she was a calm sweet natured pony but not to Darcy.

"My a new feeling for me to enjoy. I must say I like this side of you." An evil smile came on her face. " I do enjoy seeing you upset". She clicked her claws making Fireglow scream in anguish. Her screams alerted a pegasi colored pony with a single red apple for a cutie mark.

"Tornado Bolt." Firegow cried. Her lover ran up to her and embraced the Pegasi and looked at Darcy. "You have no idea how much I hate you Darcy." he snarled, "You have hurt my beloved as well as destroying other ponies lives".

"I did didn't I." Lady Darcy chuckled "What I find amazing is how you can fall for her. You should have stayed with Sweet treats".

A small tear rolled down Fireglow face as she started to remember that day

Tornado Bolt had been in love with the unicorn Sweet treats before he met her. In fact they were still in a relationship when Fireglow started to have feelings for him.

She tried her best to hide it but her feelings got the best of her, she ran off in a flurry of tears. However Sweet treats could see that Fireglow loved him more than she did she tried to find Fireglow but she never found her.

Sweet treats sighed she knew it was time to end her relationship, she liked him but she could feel the relationship dying. She had been far too busy lately with her own family however that was only one reason she had fallen in love with some pony else.

She had to tell Tornado Bolt that it was over among them. It wasn't going to be easy she had managed to get him alone tonight. When he finally came he had a furious look on his face she could tell that he knew about her crush.

"Tornado I" Sweet treats started but Tornado Bolt cut her off.

"How could you do this to me Sweet treats!" His voice was dripping with anger as he looked at the unicorn. " Yes I've seen you look at him."

Sweet treats looked at him"I'm sorry but I don't feel a connection with you anymore." The tears were pouring out off her eyes "Besides Fireglow needs you more than me. Go and be with her."

"I just wished you told me sooner you felt this way." Tornado Bolt shook his head "I'm sorry but my love for you has died." He left his ex mare friend and went to be with Fireglow. For a few months they were still just friends but soon he started to enjoy the mare company. She was blushing when she talked to him. He could tell that she was hiding her feelings and he was tired of it as the days passed he confronted her about it.

"Fireglow please be truthful do you have a crush on me?" he asked.

Fireglow looked up at him with tears in her eyes. "Yes I'm so sorry, I know you adore the mare Sweet treats. I shouldn't have done this". Tornado Bolt saw Fireglow walk away from him, he could see that she loved him he walked up to her and nuzzled her cheek.

"Actually Fireglow it's over for me and Sweet treats" he saw her shocked expression. "Don't worry it has nothing to do with you, she has found another lover to be with"

Fireglow couldn't believe this, how could Sweet treats find some pony else. She felt sorry for the stalion. And without much thought she lent forward until her muzzle met his, and gave him a warm kiss on the lips.

Thunder Roller was shocked at first. But as time went on he fell deeply in love with her.

Fireglow cherished that memory but wondered, did Braeburn still feel for Sweet treats? Her grip around him tightened as she watched Darcy vanish.

"Get back here you demon!" Shouted Tornado Bolt. Soon he felt a warm drop of water on his shoulder and looked to see Fireglow crying.

"Do you wished you stayed with sweet treats sometimes ?" asked Fireglow looking down at her hooves "Darcy was right you would have been better off with her."

She felt some pony embrace her tightly, looking up she saw Tornado Bolt smiling at her "I'll always love you Fireglow, you are my true love. That something I never felt with Sweet treat's." He kissed her "I will rid you of this curse, promise".

Suddenly a thought crossed Dash mind how did Fireglow know the evil mist destroying Cloudsdale. Keen to know the answer she questioned the orange pegasi.

"I can sense when lady Darcy or evil is near, " Fireglow replied. "And I know the mist because she has tried to kill me with it when I flew deep into the Everfree forest."

She shook her head "My curse just one of the many evil things she has done." It was true that Darcy was pure evil she hadn't obtained her title of the queen of darkness for nothing. She had taken many lives away and destroyed any signs of happiness. And now she had taken over Cloudsdale many pegasi were now without a home.

Fortunate for them the earth ponies and the unicorns had offered to share their homes with the homeless pegasi. Rainbow Dash and Soarin were staying with Fluttershy for the time being, and Fireglow and Thunder Roller were staying with Applejack.

Fluttershy quickly led them into her house before bolting the door shut. 'Such a timid pony' thought Soarin looking at Fluttershy. "Thank you for letting us stay here Fluttershy". The shy pony looked away from the locks.

"Anything for a friend of Dash" Fluttershy smiled. "So is it true Cloudsdale has been taken over?"

Rainbow Dash nodded. "No doubt this is the work of Lady Darcy" came the sound of a familiar voice. The ponies turned to see Amara sitting in the chair "She did this to my homeland too. I wasn't born in Equestria like my brother, no sir I was born in Empathica a land full of magic. Just the place Darcy would want."

"How did you get Empathica back from Darcy?" Asked Soarin

"Hmm that was along time ago I was only a baby dragon at the time." Answered Amara "But I can remember a spell was used to banish Darcy from ever touching that place ever again. I can only remember part of the spell, and that on it's own is useless." She thought for a moment." The last words were To forgo ego eris."

Fluttershy trembled "Amara said she would stay with me, till this evil goes away". The Pegasi smiled at the dragoness.

"I must say this Amara you and your brethren are a lot nicer than the other dragons that live in Equestria." Said Soarin.

Amara smiled "I know most of dragons round here are jerks. Completely different to the ones in my country." The dragoness sighed. She was different to other dragons, sure she had a horde but she shared most of it with Rarity's designs and helping out to raise Canterlot defences.

"Well I feel a bit weary" said Rainbow Dash getting up of the floor. She was stumbling a little bit as she made her way to the door. She nearly fell but Soarin rushed to her aid and helped her upstairs.

"Awww how sweet," replied Amara "Just like my brother and Rarity." She noticed Fluttershy was smiling. 'She's thinking about him again' thought Amara as she looked at the yellow pony. She knew Big Macintosh was on the pegasi mind again.

"Having a little fantasies are we sweetie" smirked Amara. Fluttershy looked shocked at Amara that was the 3rd time the dragoness had caught her daydreaming.

"I think it sweet that you like him." Said Amara. "A positive feeling. Love can cut through darkness". She see's Fluttershy look away from her.

"It doesn't matter." Sighed Fluttershy. "He's not interested in me" a small tear rolled down her face. In the pegasi mind Big Mac was dating her new best friend Cheerilee.

"Did he say that?" Amara asked Fluttershy who was crying but she shook her head. "Well how do you know he is not interested in you?"

Fluttershy looked up "he's not interested in me Amara. I can tell, every time I look at him he turns away."

"He may have seen you hide from him. Maybe he thinks he scares you, so that why he try's to avoid looking at you." Amara replied. "Though I've caught him looking at you."

"Really he has been looking at me?" asked Fluttershy. Tears were still pouring out of her blue eyes. Amara put her claw on her friend shoulder

"You can tell him tomorrow, do not worry I will make sure that you get your chance with him. Now my dear the night is drawing in I think you may need your sleep." said Amara

The pegasi nodded and went to her bedroom leaving Amara. The dragoness looked out of the window at the sky and whispered. " You will pay for this Darcy. Someday you will fall." She got on the sofa and fell into an uneasy sleep.
