Description
When I think of summer, I think of the beach. One of our favorite outings during the summer is a trip to the beach.
This is all totally made with UF 4.02 and only a little sharpening with The Gimp.

I can imagine very well how difficult it was to create the water/waves Mary.
But the result tells its own tale. I really like the idea and the way you have

Thank you! Actually I piled it all together in UF and just sharpened it a little in the Gimp. UF is awesome in that you can layer things.

Oh good! I wasn't paying enough attention. I was just up late, and kinda jittery and still can't calm down totally (my journal tells why) and I just kind wrote the note as one of the things that popped in my head to do, both to remind of the contest and to try and calm down.

Don't know if I would make any more like this. It was just an experiment to see if I could do it. It was fun but frustrating, and I am still not totally happy with it.

The really hard part was making the water look right. I had been seeing a lot of shell shapes in exploring different ucls and had saved some in the past. Shells are very fractal in nature.

Yes, they are...especially the wonderfully curving and twisting ones. I love those types of shells.
