Le gasp! Two uploads in one day! I wanted to get something personal out as the first upload for the new year, so I had to put this one on the backburner to work on that. Anyway, the much promised new app and redesign for Púca!

~ Abilities ~

Púca has the ability to bestow good or bad fortune on those the chooses. Typically, she will grant good fortune on those who make a good impression on her, while those who anger, insult, or attack her. She also can produce small blue lights at will, using them to either lead visitors to her, or drive them away. Additionally, she has the ability to shapeshift into the form of either a wolf or horse, and breathe underwater.

~ Backstory ~

Púca was among the first to leave the ancestral home of the enaders to live among humanity. She would work to improve relations with humanity and as a measure of good faith, offered many human rulers with good fortune in the building of her empires. Even back then, she loved people, particularly young adults and children, and told stories from before the Enaders came down to earth. She strived to learn as much about the humans as she could, and traveled the world, studying the many cultures of the world. It was during this time that she discovered her love of cuisine and cooking.
Unfortunately, things had to take a turn for the worse.
At the turn of the decade, with human unease growing, Púca and her ability to grant good fortune became more and more attractive to a human king who sought domination and the expansion of his empire. While she was visiting his realm, he kidnapped and imprisoned her in isolation under his castle. Using physical and psychological torture, he wore down at her so she would grant him good fortune in his endeavors. If a campaign went well, she would be rewarded with food and rest. If not, she would be tortured. It was after a particularly bad defeat and the slaughter of much of his army that in a fit of anger, he tore off her wings and hung her by the wrists from the cavern ceiling.
This was the last straw for Púca. While the man was away for a particularly long siege, she cursed him to die at his greatest hour, and in the height of battle, just as the war was turning in his favor, he was struck through the heart by a stray arrow, ending Púca's years of pain by his hands.
However, during the chaos of who would ascend to the throne, Púca was forgotten and left to languish in the underground prison for another decade until a trio of children of the court went exploring and discovered her, delirious and half-dead, in the bowels of the castle. She was set free, and taken by the court magician to a lake rumored to have healing properties. This magician tied her feeble life force to the lake, and it is there that she has stayed since.
