Fully illustrated commission with simple background for the ever sweet Devildove, here on DA and FA, of her character Milli.It was challenging doing the shading for an African Wild Dog, but fun.
I like the background, though it's very tempting to scrap the entire bottom of it and start that over. I'll refrain for now.

Gorgeous work - I love the details in this piece and the realistic anatomy, but that background simply blows me away - stunning lighting and beautiful soft clouds.

The background is gorgeous! My gosh! HMMM. That foreground is pretty good too! I like it quite a bit. It echoes the background without being repetitive and is delightfully fluffy. The transition from light to dark at the figure's side is super blunt and sudden, though, do you think that might be what's bothering you there? if so, feathering the color gradation right in that area should fix it up beautifully. If its the whole idea of the foreground that's bugging you...I got nothing. I think its beautiful and serene and I LOVE the colors.

Hey, hey! Don't alter this one bit! My eyes are literally coming out of my skull looking at it. And you call that a simple background? Crazy! I don't think I've seen you do a piece like this for a while, aside from Dax, and it's blowing me away. I may have to have some discussion with you concerning one of my commissions. In short, some of the techniques I see here are what I was picturing in my head for my commission. Anyway, very well done! You should be proud of this.
