Download for full view!!The next moment you've all been waiting for: the next piece in my voodoo series!
This specific one took little over a month to complete, putting in work on a regular daily basis. I will open prints to purchase of this but preferably not through deviantart. If you wish to purchase a print please notify me via personal message. Any piece of my voodoo series has prints for purchase, or the entire series.
This was done on acid-free 11x14in paper with .5 mechanical pencil and prismacolor blending wax.

I love the attention to detail, like in the cactus and the spots of downy fur on the figure. I adore the composition, and the clear definitions you managed.

Haha.. that's okay. Not to make you feel bad, please don't, but I'm actually pretty bummed at how little recognition this piece got overall. Everyone lover the Tribal one but this one went overlooked. It was a pretty big blow. Either way, thank you, Sam. I hope you look forward to the next Voodoo piece I'm working on for the series. It'll definitely be the most tedious and extravagant. Multiple characters.. ^^ Thank you.

Yeah, I just got mine not too long ago. yeesh it took forever. I had to go pick up my actual portfolio from the school because somehow they screwed up like 16 peoples' and they had to be sent to the school

I know, you totally deserve more than that. I don't know what the AP people are looking for in sculpture students, but they were ridiculously hard on them the two years I was in AP. Heck, everyone, well, a lot of people all across the board this year didn't even pass. A lot of the drawing and painting students I think deserve it

Oh it was an excritiating time frame, yes. Over a month to complete. I'm sad though that the scanner, even after photoshop, didn't do such a fabulous job. *Le sigh* Thank you! ^^

I know, I keep practising, been at it for about 6 years, didn't get really big into practising though until about 3 years ago because of my awesome instructor, art takes a lot of patience as I've been taught and I know it takes awhile, that's why i hope some day I get that good, won't happen over night or probably within the next year or two but it'll happen with a lot of practise and patience, and experimenting on different aspects I'm weak in, such as fur and faces ...

I had a question, I've noticed that most/some of your drawings have bandages on or wrapped around them, why is that?

It's mostly old garb or cloth that I base off of traditional japanese/other cultural warriors. They use tapes or cloths to wrap around forearms or legs underneath armor sometimes. Not sure the reason but, it's just in my style.
