This is my official First Art Made With A Cintiq! That is right, I finally upgraded from an Intuos 3 that I've used for a good 11 or so years to a Cintiq 22HD. :'D

I'm finding it really fun to use and I felt more engaged in what I was painting than I have in a while. I'm happy with my purchase decision!

And with this art since this is the first really serious piece I've done in a long time. It started out as a sketch of rapidash since my boyfriend and I got to the episode in Pokemon where Ash rides the Ponyta/Rapidash in the race thing and beats that little punk-ass Dario, and I was like "HEY I'VE BEEN DRAWING HORSES LATELY THAT'S A HORSE I'LL DRAW THAT HORSE GOOD IDEA ME". So I did that on my Intuos and then I ordered and received the Cintiq and did the colouring part on that. And THEN when I settled on that fiery/burnt landscape I wasn't sure I wanted the rapidash to be a pale colour anymore, so I decided it'd be a special extra shiny black/blue rapidash. Or a regular shiny rapidash that rolls in charcoal a lot.

And that's my story. They all lived happily ever after, the end!
