Description Since I'm not able to go train this week, I decided to do a pic of it to at least somehow keep it in mind X3
So here is Rai in our basic training outfit :3 It involves white T-shirt and black pants. No belt necessary. The logo I copied from the T-shirt ^^

So, some of you may know already, but I train Tai Shin Mun AKA Monkey Kung Fun :3 (If you have heard the style been called bit differently, don't worry. My master said there are as many ways to write the name as there are schools XD)

Oh, and in case someone will ask, I have black belt, which means a normal trainer. Blue is for vice-teacher and red is for teacher.

Do you guys train any martial art? 83 If you do/did, what was it? ^^

I was in kempo/ kubudo ( Okinawan Karate) and made it to purple belt. I know several kata (a set of moves) including a Nun-chuck kata.

I was horrible at sparring, though (fighting).

about the belt colors for karate:
every style and whatnot have different color orders of belt. most karate is close to white, yellow, (yellow black stripe), orange, (orange black stripe), purple, green, blue, (red), brown, black.

kung fu is sometimes way different if I remember right.

A fox with...sweat glands. nice.

Oh yeah, he's anthropomorphic, isn't he? I'll let it go this time.

Yes, Karate is very different :3 Most Karate Styles are unfortunately sport styles that trade effectivity in battle for safety in contests <:3
But I remember Kenpo being a Traditional one :3 Am I correct?

Yeah, I suck at sparring too XD

Btw, you do know Nunchuku is originally developed as a device to train hand-eye-coordination, so it is not actually a weapon? =3

Our Kung Fu has only those three belts, so they are not very important :3 As long as you know, who is the Master and older trainers than you, all is fine ^^

Very traditional. Lots of self-d I still use, (that I remember, it's been 3 years ago)

I was taught the real stuff, but It wasn't intense, my teacher was very lax. (we went to the same church, free lessons ) he just got his second degree black belt.

The belts didn't mean much unless I went to his sensai's class. (who was the son of Master O' Yada, a recognized patriarch of the whole style.) I didn't.

I went to a tourney where they had this special kind of fighting where you could do like, anything and not hold back. Full body suits and some sort of face thing that looks like the thing they wear for fencing. I seen it done, it was insane. They wanted me to do it. I said, nooooooo.

Nun-chuks. They hurt pretty bad. but when ya use em' you are usually the one getting hurt, so it would be the perfect weapon for an emo.

Good ^o^ I don't despise sports versions or anything, but traditional is much more practical, when it comes to real life situations =3

Our teacher isn't too intense either but he does make sure we end up sweating like Hell XD But I doupt it's anything compared to the Grand Master's classes X3 And same with us on the belts. They don't much matter, unless you go to the Grand Master's class. And since he lives in Malaysia, it doesn't happen often to me XD

I've heard of those too o.o They sounds pretty harsh. I doupt I would go there either XD

Yeah, it does hurt, when you hit with it, but still, it is a bit too easy to block and disarm to be a really effective weapon <:3
LOL!!! XDDDDDDD That was a good one!

Are there more belt colors than the three you described? It's obvious that the system is different from the one karate uses. XP
