Today I did some studies of two of my favorite male characters from JLU, Green Arrow, and The Question!

there's a very subtle texture to each of these drawings (probably due to the paper?) that imo adds a lot of personality to each portrait. Especially on this one I noticed how it makes Oliver's beard have a faint realism feel, which imo really takes it a new level!
plus as a fan of all of these characters it's amazing to see so many portraits of them! I'm having a lot of fun here tbh haha

Yup, since this is toned paper it has a more rough and natural texture than normal paper, which I love working with because it grants me such high contrast

Yeah, he really is! Some of his 90's comics were too dark for me, but I love the character over-all.
