Description
This is a perspective view for one of my original designs. The Endurance Heavy Cruiser, designed and used by The United Empire of Dimensions as part of their initial generation of combat starships. It possesses thick armour, and heavy deflector shields for it's size, however it is fairly slow and unwieldy despite only being 750 meters long. It's main function is to act as a mid-tier bullwark for fleet formations, while using it's high amount of medium caliber weapons to engage multiple smaller targets, or batter down other vessels of similar size. For this it mounts forty Dual Medium Plasma Cannons, as well as a pair of Single Heavy Plasma Cannons. To augment it's defensive capabilities the Enforcer is equipped with 41 Dual Anti-Proton Flak Guns, which are a form of short range point defense designed to shoot down enemy guided ordinance and strike craft. While a decently designed vessel it's compact nature and slow speed made it vulnerable to catastrophic detonation if focused down. It also lacks any form of fighter coverage, relying on other ships in the fleet that carry fighter craft to provide a fighter screen.
