is a trendsetter! XD She made an Inuyasha piece called "Kagome Is", which is not only well-drawn and funny, but supports one of my favorite things--canon. Firestar loves canon and will always support that which is ACTUALLY IN CHARACTER. Anyway, the idea was contagious and other artists made similar pieces for other Inuyasha characters. Eventually, it spread to other fandoms, such as Metroid and The Phantom of the Opera. I believe is doing a Danny Phantom piece, and she was nice enough to point me in the direction of 's "Character Is" journal, where she graciously leaves the project open to anyone who wants to participate. That can be found here: [link]So here's my "Sam Is" piece. I think Sam is a really cool character, so hooray for her. I also think canon is awesome. Hooray for canon! *throws confetti*.
This was done in a B pencil and colored on Photoshop Elements, and it seemed to take forever, but Firestar had plenty of time this week to work on it, since she now is distinctly lacking a job. XD
Thanks to for opening her project and giving me permission to do this, and thanks to for bringing it to my attention! Hooray for cool people. XD

Well, it didn't give me acid burns like the Yu-Gi-Oh! fandom.......
....but yeah, it's pretty darn full of immature egomaniacs. There are plenty of cool people in the DP fandom, but like with all treasure, you've got to dig to find them.

It's like the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy fandom.
I make fun of the characters in both, (Cloud, Riku and Zexi are emo, Saix is an angry elf, ect) and I don't mind crack couples, but it's like every other picture is SaixXemmy or Akuroku.
It would be fine if there wasn't so much of the stuff. D<
At least the normal American fandom probably don't have Yaoi.
As for the Naruto, KH, and FF fandoms they have some crack pairings that will scar you for life.
And it seems that we've gotten more people who act stupid in the Naruto fandom ever since the Anime came to America. I'm on of the 'original fans'. I was reading Naruto in Shonen Jump before it came to the US as an Anime.

Unfortunately, Stupid Yaoi Fangirls are everywhere. The only way to combat them is, well...all right, it's still a class A felony.
I also read Naruto in SJ...I think it's fun. I'm a Kakashi fan myself. Wouldn't touch the KH or FF fandoms with a bargepole, although I like the games a lot.

I'm in a Guild on Gaia. It's called Teh Guild. There are really only two Yaoi fangirls, and then there's a girl who writes the most amazing fanfics that do end up having Yaoi in them, but it's not like she likes Yaoi.
There aren't a lot of things that can scar me after two year in Teh Guild. xD -lolz-

I take it these are rules.... yeah some of the stuff you mention there is OOC and even bashing, but people that make reasonable character growths don't bother me. If it's writen right, go for it. If not, stop wasting people's time. You know?

What war...thingy? I ain't got nothin' but sunshine. By calling discussions in fandom "war" people are only perpetuating a divisive waste of everyone's time which is actually riddled with misconceptions. Not a good thing.
It's not rules. It's fanart. Because I am a fan, of a series, of a character, exactly the way the creator intended them to be. I am not averse to "reasonable character growth". When I find some in fanwork, I'll give praise where it's due, but let me tell you, it's so rare as to be practically endangered. Till then, I'll keep wishing fanbrats would stop disrespecting the characters and the stories I love. I'll keep working hard to create honest fanwork that I feel properly honors the storytellers and stories I admire.

i do agree I like Sam and Danny better then Danny with anyone's OC's, but that doen'st mean they can't dream adn love Danny anyways. I'm not being mean or anytyhing, I'm just saying. But this is really cool, I like teh second pic of Sam in that outfits, she looks cool!!!!!

I have burned my eyes on some really bad fanfiction. Luckily I remind myself that these badfics are not actually about Sam--they are about some stupid fanbrat's own character who they have decided to call "Sam" because they don't know how to be creative.

Cool idea. May make one for my own characters. I have an OC for Star Wars, an AU and if I make fan oc's I try to avoid making them Sues... As far as I can tell none of mine would fit into it anyway.
Ooops that was me going off on a mini-rant. 
I love Sam, I'd say she's a pretty good role model character. I'd love to have Sam as a friend.
